THE OKAWFORDSVILLE'WEEKLY REVIEW
A a S a
TO TOE EDITOR OF THE REVIEW: When will the colored man be recognized in thlscityby the republican party? I answer uever. When the government was iu the hands of the democrats the cry was "couie ou and help rescue it and you shall he rewarded." This we did without a|word and now is the time to reward us, but what have they done? They have divided the spoils among themselves, and the coloeed man cau content himself by saying "we helped to save the government from the democrats and they get the spoils." We made applications, and what did they amouut to? Nothing. Aud so we say from this time on, Bonnell, Burtord&Co., you cau fight your own battles aud we will be spectators. We don't intend to be used as tools any longer and at the next election we will stay at home or at work, whichever we see fit, aud the party to which this company belongs can fight its own battles. If we have no share in the spoils we will take no part iu the fight, COLORED MAN. [Note.—Some may think this was uot written by a colored man, and to any who are of that opinion we will inake the following proposL tion: We are willing to place $10 in the Citizens' national bank when they put up a like amount, to be paid to the orphans' home if it was not written by a colored man but if it was the $10 they put up is to be donated to that institution.—ED.]
After this week the Jones twins,, go to Kohl fc Middleton's museum, Chicago, for a three month's engagement, for which Mr. Jones will receive £6,520.
The township trustees met as a board of equalization Monday and as there was only three democrats present and four republicans the latter tried to work a neat little scheme by voting not to place the new new school books in the coining term. But the three democrats refused to vote thus causing no quorum and the book's will go in.

COMMON SENSE AS APPLIED TO MEDICINE• It is wellknoTTn by all intelligent observers that it is impossible for any person, no matter how highly endowed by nature or acquire-: ments, to become thoroughly conversant with all the divisions of-the science of medicine. Nearly all who have attained distinction in medicine have made some «pecial department their life work, being fitted therefor by natural adaptation or selection, special education and experience. SCIENTIFIC EXAMINATIONS.
The examinations are in accordance with anatomical and physical science, as he will convince tho most skeptical. By an examination he will convince anyone of the uatnre and extenof disease, amount of danger to life, and chance of a perfect cure. Believing that science is truth and ''truth is mighty and will prevail" when known, and knowing that disease can be cured with, positive certainty, he invites the afflicted to call and receive advice free and be enrod of their diseases. There is no subject that requires so much study and experience as the treatment and cure of chronic diseases. The astonishing success and remarkable cures performed by him is due to a thorough knowledge of the structure and fnnctions of the hnman system, and the cure of diseases by their natural remedies. Let those given up by others call for examination. He has successfully treated the following diseases since MB arrival in this state: Eye and Ear diseases. Chronic Diarrhoea, Chronic Inflammation of the Womb, Chronic Inflammation of the Bladder, Painful or Irregular Menstruation Fever Sores and Ulcers, Incontinence of Urine, Tape Worms, Crooked Limbs and Enlarged Joints, Spinal Curvatures, Club Foot, Hip Joint Disease, White Swelling, Discharging Abscesses, Barrenness, Nervousness and General Debility, ImpotencyrDiseases of this Kidneys and Bladder, Leucorrhoa or Whites.
