The 13th annual commencement of the Normal will be held July 80 and 31 and Aug. 1. On Tuesday evening, July 30, the Teachers' Alumni Asssociation will hold their annual meeting and banquet. The address will be delivered by T. "W. Autchismi, of Staunton Iudiana, subject "The Dragon of the Black Forest." We can safely promise that this address will be very fine aB the speaker is an orator of great ability. On Wednesday evening, the Teachers class of '89 will give a play which will be quite interesting. The graduating class will speak on Thursday eveuing. The class this year is an unusually strong one and their exercises will be exceedingly good.

The longest, rotenestand most uninteresting game of ball that has been played here for some time, occurred at the ball park Tuesday aflernoou between the Crawfordsville and Ladoga clubs, the former winning by a score of 15 to 7. Dicks was in the box for the home club and was not vory effective, giving four men first base in succession in the first inning. Strickler pitched the latter part of the game and did better than his predecessor. Dan Sullivan did the twirling act for Crawfordsville and did fairly well. One great fault with our boys, and one that will lose them both games and patronage, is their everlasting "kicking" and "mouthing." It isn't very pleasant for a visiting club to be "guyed" as the boys from the Athens were, and it is to be hoped that hereafter our boys will be more quiet, and let the captain do the kicking, if any has to be

An English Medical Authority affirms that the best regimen for preserving health may bo summed up in tho maxi'n', "keep the head cool, the feet warn® and the bowels active." There is a word of wisdom in the observation.
