Ezra Meredith shot and killed Jobn Gilgore at Madison, last Sunday night, with an army musket. Old feud. Meredith was airested and claimed that the shooting was in self defease. Both were employes of the J. M. & I. railroad and Gilgore leaves a wife and four children.

Iron-making is about to be resumed in the district of Marquette, Mich., with coke in place of charcoal for fuel.
