A Pluokjr Family who Walk Twentylv* Milea. The Kansas City Timtihas th* following: "Last night about seven o'clock we wera shown a man and his familly, consisting of his wife and six children, who had walked the entire distance from Lone Jack to Kansas City, something over twenty-fiv* miles. They all appeared greatly fatigued, in fact, nearly worn out from their long and weriSjme tramp, the children particularly. Quite a number of curiously inclined people were busily engAged watching the primativ* manner in which they prepared io make themselves comfortable for tho night, and some more liberal hearted than the rest, proposed that if they had not sufficient means to go to the hotel for th* night they would take up a collection for them. When the man suddenly interrupted them by asking "What day of the month it was He was told by soma one standing by, and then he remarked, Gentlemen I'm bleegcd to you, but nigh on to forty years ago, me and my old woman here lived in tho State of Ingianny. That was 'fore we was hitchod together for life when one nieo summer's day a feller cum along mounted on a mighty fine looking hoas, and ho saya to no, 'young man, here is a show bill for to read and pass around among your family, and if you want to have fun eome to that show.' Well, you see, I did go, and I took Mandy, too and afora we got back home we got married, and that show* man's name waa old John Robinson, and Mandy and ma took a pledge if ever old John came within forty miles of us, we was goin' sure. No, gentleman, keep your money and buy tickets for John Robinson'a show, as I Intend doing with mine."

In this heat th* old horse seemed to outdo himself, kicking his heels wildly in the air and hardly giving th* admiring hundreds on tha pavement time to clear the track. During the winter, owing partly to our more in-door and sedentary habits, and partly to the decrease of inscnuible perspiration from the cuticular pores and other ..lim&tic causes, our secretions become impaired, blood impure, liver congested, skin yellow and flabby, and when spring comes we find it almost impossible to fulfil our ordinary duties of life. And with our vital energies at this low eblj we are ready to contiact any of the "ills that flesh is heir to"—colds, asthma, consumption, rheumatism, ague, fever, scrofula, jaundice, pneumonia, spring-fever, pimples boils &c. &c. A few bottles of Dr. Hurley's Cnm. Syrup of Sarsaparilla with Iodide of Potash taken in the spring will obliterate more of these diseases in their incipioncy than all the Doctors can cure if neglected. Reasons why the Fulglmm Drill is the best: 1. It will sow more regularly in any and all kinds of grain or ground than any other Drill, sowing equally well Wheat, Oats, Barley or Hemp, which no other Drill will do. 2. When set to sow a given quantity, it will sow that, neither more or less, whether your grain be large or small, or your team walk fast or slow. 3. It is so arranged that die operator can see the Drill feeding from its openings whether riding or walking. 3. It never chokes or clogs being a Forced .Feed, it distributoB the grain evenly and surely as well when the last grain is going out when the Hopper is full.

It is easier ohanged from single to doublo Rank, and in a shorter spaco of time than any other Drill, as we use no Tube Board.

Nothing appears more absurd than •om* of the restrictions imposed by the "Medical Faculty" upon its members. No matter how much time and labor a man has spent in preparation for a thorough and correct di agon is and successful treatment of any special disease, yet, if he advertiset the fact, he is "ruled out'' as having ovcrsteped the line drawn by the professional code of ethics. Wc are glad to note a thorough student in the school of medicine who acts fearlessly and sensibly in this matter —Dr. S. Wood, of Indianapolis.

The Doctor makes a specialty of diseases peculiar to the throat and lungs, and his treatment has been very successful. While he regrets that his course should be the cause of. censure and ostracism, he is more than repaid by the congratulations of hundreds, both in Indianapolis and throughout the State, whom he has been successful in curing of those obstinate diseases that have baffled the skill of those who repudiate him. .•
