A TERRIBLE affair occurred at Ladoga last Saturday. .V young lad, step son of Mr. fieorge W. Mullis, accidentally shot Mr. Mullis' little daughter, aged ten years. The ball passed in at the outer corner of the left eye, lodging in the back part of the head, causing death in a few minutes.

A SPECIAL term o# the Circuit Court, Judge DaVisson presiding, commenced its session, on last Tuesday. The case of Dr. NoffBingor vs. Harris Reynolds is at present ocoupying the attention of the Court. -This is a civil suit brought here on a change of venue from Vigo county, and involves an amount of some Sift,000, the sum claimed byjllcynolds. A formidable array of conucil have been employed by the parties, among whom we notice the Hon. Thomas A. Hendricks, D. W. Voorhees, Joseph !•'. McDonald, John M. Butler, Benjamin Harrison and John Beard.
