Bloomington and Western railroad wns celebraitcd by a grand excursion on last Tuesday and Wednesday. The excursionists consisted of the owners of the road with a limited number of invited guests. The train num'bered eight elegant cars, two of which were the celebrated Pullman Palace cars, left our city at eight nnd a half o'clock on Tuesday morning, and after a delightful ride through one of (he finest agricultural countries in the West, 'arrived at Peoria ni sewn o'clock in the evening. There the oxoursionists were invited lo a grand banquet by the citizens, and for three hours mirth and hilarity reigned supreme. At raiduight the guests who had received such a splendid welcome nnd ovation wen1 escorted by the Peoria baud to the train, which returned lo Bloomington where they remained until o'clock on Wednesday receiving generous welcome and tlie most marked nttcntion from the citizens of fhatplace. At a little lifter midnight Thursday morning the train reached our city, after one of the most delightful excursions,*and which will always lie remembered with pleasure by those who had the good fortune to participate.
