When blatant loyaly was enthroned as the deity of the party in power, honesty of pnr("-e and decency and decorum of manner* tle.l the National Capitol, and the Halls of legislation were converted into mart- for trade, or temples in which debauchees celebrated their unhollowed rites, trampled upon the Constitution, and profaned the alters erected and consecrated by the warviors, sages and sires of the Revolutionnry period. But whisky-filled Senators completing the outrage of forcing negro suffrage upon an unwilling people is in keeping with the whole history of this infamous transaction. When the French Revolutionist-

The committee on resolution-, beg leave to report the following platform of principle-, as expressive of the sentiments of the Democracy of Montgomery county:

Kfiolvnl, That we heartily endorse the Platform adopted at the Democratic State Convention on the 8th of January last, and will support its nominee1'.

Rrtolvcii, That in the Fifteenth Amendment to the Constitution, we recognize doctrines at once abhorrent to our natures and subversive of the moral and political purity of our institutions. That it was forced upon the sovereign people of our State ai tho point of Federal bayonets in the South. and by fraud and grossest violations of la^r in the North, and that, although Indiana stands recorded in the archives of the Nation ns fa\oring the Amendment, her voice upon that question has been misrepresented by an open violation of our Slate Constitution on the part of a Radical majority in our Isst Legislature, and the betrayal of the well-known wishes of more th?n threefourths of the voters of the State.

Rs-/(lived, That the ticket put in nomination to-day is a white man's ticket. That none but white men have taken part in securing its adoption, and that we-extend a hearty invitation to the white men of the county, irrespective of party, to rally to its support, and assure to it triumphant election.

The business of the Convention having all been disposed of, able and enthusiastic speeches were delivered by Gen. Manson. Hor. Archibald Johnson and other*, denouncing the reckless expenditure of our money and public domain, for the benefit of a few. and to the detriment -»nd slavery of the laboring elas*.
