At a meeting of the citizens of the county held at the Court House in this city, on Saturday last, for the purpose of aiding this important enterprise, on motion of S. C. Will son, Silas Peterson Esq., was appointed Chairman, and L. B. Willson nppointcd Secretary.

Mr. John Lee, the President of the company, then addressed the meeting. He stated that when the first appropriation had been asked for in aid of this road, it was believed that the length of the road in this county was twenty-five miles, and that the appropriation was supposed to be five thousand" dollars per mile. After completing the survey however, it was discovered that the length of the road in this county is 80 instead of 25 miles, leaving five miles for the building of which the company hnd no bonus to offer. In view of these facts he had dccidcd to call upon the people of the different townships through which the road passed to vote for an additional tax of one half per cent.

He proceeded at some length to consider the advantages which would accrue to our people from the completion of the rond, and to state that he had found parties who were willing to undertake and complete the work for tho bonus of S5000 per mile.

Ruddle Co., Louisville. Ky.: Gentle

men: This it to certify that I have been for years a sufferer and tried all the tonics 1 have heard or seen advertised, with little or no relief from any of them. I heard Hurley's Bitters highly spoken of. and tried a bottle with little faith in it before I commenced, and to my surprise and joy, before I finished one bottle, I felt a great deal better and firmly beleive that one or two occasions it was the means of saving and prolonging my lite, I conscientiously recommended them to all sufferers as tho best Bitters known, and advise them always to ask for Dr. T. A. Hurley's and have no other. You can use this as you think proper, if it will benefit others. Yours truly etc.
