"We Must Fight!"

Hint was the cry not many years ago now it is we must buy goods and the question is where can they be bought for the least money, and at the same time the best. We do not know of any better than to buy of "Cheap John," the celebrated itinerant merohant, who keeps with him alt the time a large stock of table linens, handkerchiefs, and notions, also a fine assortment of ^Spectacles, razors, and pocket cutlery, which are manufactured of the best of material, and John sells them cheap.

Something Niee.

Those nice watches, which may be seen by looking in the show case of H. T. Shepherd's, would make admirable Christmas presents for your dear friends, if the watches is not what you wish, there is, we know, isomething in his assortment of Jewelry, that will please you, and if you purchase of him, he will mark them free. He has the best assortment of clocks in the city. Persons having watches or docks needing repair cannot find a more competent workman than Mr. Shepherd, he will do the work himself, and consequently it will be done well.""®"

While at Indianapolis, we caltrd at the wholesale liquor establishment of T. F. Ryan, and can pronounce this one of the largest estabishments of the kind in the west. Hia stock of liquors, both imported and native is full and complete, and if our dealers in this branch will call at this establishment, they can get their orders filled at short notice, and at such rates as wilb enable them to save money. Mr. John Newell,, of this city, is their traveling agent, apd he spares no paina to make the visit of our ciiiiens to Indianapolis, both pleasant and profitable.
