The Mammoth.

This great establishment of the Grahams iB is daily receiving packages of goods by every train. It is unquestionably the emporium of trade for this section of the Stnte. We notice that farinors conic here from 1'arke. Fountain, Tippecanoe and Boone counties to purchase at this house. The largcussortment and iinmenBC stock they keep constantly on hand, with the extremely low prices at which they sell, oiler better inducements than can be obtained elsewhere. They purchase every description of produce, and the farmer who drives up to their establishment with the products of his labor will find fur it a ready market, receiving the highosl market price, either in cash, or goods at lower prices than can be purclinsed in any uf the .surrounding cities. It is the knowledge of this fact that is driving such an immense trade to their house. The proprietors are men noted for (heir great enterprise, energy and liberality, and in their long dealing with our people, a period of nearly twenty years, they have always enjoyed the fullest confidence and respect.

A couple of waifs of the genus pickpockct and shop lifters, drifted into our city on last Monday for the purpose of plying their Tocation. After a thorough reconnoisance they made a successful dash at the drawer of Mr. .lames Nolan, in which they netted some twonty dollars which they divided between them. While indulging in happy reveries over present and future successes at the corner of Green and Market streets, they were gently pulled by an officer, and in a quiet and dexterous manner searched, the money recovered, and the birds safely caged in the the county jail, with a fair prospect of enjoying the cool bree7.es of Michigan city, and wearing for a term of veurs the zebra uniform. They gave their names as John Yeutcli and George Thomas.
