HuO.

Now that we ure certain to have an east und west rail road, provided we do our duty and accept the propositions made to construct the India napolis, Crn wfovdsville and Danville Hail Road, the next enterprise which should, ami we thitik certainly will if properly presented to the citizen?, enlist the hearty cooperation of overy citizen in Crawfordsville. if not in Montgomery county, is (he construction of a good and substantial hotel one which would be a credit to the city. That such a building would pay a handsome dividend to stockholders no one will dispute. That 11 city of four thousand inhabitant.", situated in the center of oue of the finest agricultural counties in the State, should be without a hotel building, does not speak very well for the business men of our city. No one man will invest thirty thousand dollars in a hotel it is a waste of time to expeet it. Why not go to work and organize a stock company. We understand Mr. V. Q. InwiN*stands ready to put in his lot and take half its value in stock. The carpenters plasterers and painters will also take stock. Now is the time. Let the citizens take hold and we will Boon have a hotel.
