The UOKporl Murder—HoW the Case- was Worked Up.
Marshnl Thomas Akers, having Tcomplctod his investigations in the Johns murder case at Oosport, arrested the murderer, and had bun safely locked up in jail to await trial before the civil tribunal)! arrived at his home in this citv on Saturday. In this work of justice, Murfhal Akers was engaged fVom Wednesday evening until Friday evening. Upon his arrival at. Gosport, Wednesday cvetiiug, his first business was to learn what he could of the manner ot the murder, the social rclatious of the murdered muu and other particulars that might give lnm some clue to who the murderer was His investigations were conducted with tho utmost prudence, but wore very thorough, deHcendiug into imuutest detnilt). These investigations were mainly conducted before the Coroner's jury that held an inquisition upon the dead body of Johns, and here is where Marshal Akers got the first clue that led him to positively believe that MeMinimy was the murderer.
