From all the evidence we can gather from the facts related to us. it is evident that the Dr. is the victim of a conspiracy, hatched at Lafayette, in which Linglc was the chief conspirator. We are assured that the Doctor is warm friend of the President, ami since hi
was an ardent advocate of his
policy. The Inval sycophants of the Umnp Congress will of course feel a gratifying malignity at this discomfiture of the Doctor, whom (hoy will charge as belonging to the bread anil butter brigade. Had wc the ear of the President, the Doctor should receive an appointment.

HEADACHE.—The symptoms of this very general complaint are already too well known to require any description. According lo the science of medical men, headache arises either from a sympathy with the stomach and chylopoctic viscera, oa from a weakticss or exhaustion of the power of the enceplinlo. The one may be called sympathetic mill the other nervous headache. All that is necessary in the treatment is lo restore a healthy action to the stomnch. It would be well first to take an emetic, follow this by tho daily use of Roback's Hitters, and keep the bowels regular: do not allow them to become constipated. Take small doseB of ltoback lilood Pills frequently.

Such conclusions. he will find to he erroneous, notwithstanding his zealous advocacy of such a detestable doctrine, and which he himself, until his lato conversion to radicalism, was strenuously opposed to. Like all apostates, or to speak more mildly, new converts, he undoubtedly feels the necessity of appearing move zealous in the work of negro equality than even the most ardent abolitionist of the old school. His former long connection with the Democratic party, and his subserviency during the administration of President Buchanan, when. to hold a pitiful little office, ho endorsed the Lecompton swindle, and voted, knowingly, for such traitor* as Breckenridge, are still fresh in the minds of honest Republicans, who, to tell the truth, have little confidcnce in a tunu, who in 1802 wentinto an anti-war Democratic convention, in your city, as ft candidate for the nomination of township assessor, which failing to receive, deserted and straightway became an advocate of principles that only the day before he opposed with all the venom and vehemence of a regular dyed-in-the-wool old liner. Such rapid conversions are well accounted for in the case of the apostle Paul, but in Mr. Snvdkh's case it strikes us as being the result of a disappointment in failing to secure a beggarly little office. This is the man who is now advocating negro suffrage, How much honesty there is in him we leave the reader to judge, taking his past history as a guide.
