Pursuant to a call issued May 3,1806, a convention assembled at Crawfordsville, Thursday, May 10, I860, at eleven o'clock A. M.

After the address of Dr. Pierce the report of the committe appointed at the meeting of May 3d, was presented and adopted.

The committee appointed May 3d, 1866, to report a plan for constructing a railroad from Indianapolis, via. Crawfordsville to Danville, 111., submit the following: 1st The formation of a company, of atlc^st fifteen Stockholders, with a capital of at least $50,000, to constitute a body corporate, according to the law of Indiana, to bo designated the Indianapolis,,^Crawfordsville Danville Rail Road Company. 2d. The appointment of a suitable committeo to secure tho transfer, to tlie Indianapolis, Crawfordsville & Danville Railway Company, of tho subscription lists, and other papers, relating to the enterprise, now in the hands of H. C. Lord. 3d. An addition to the present subscription, for donations, of at least one hundred thousand dollars, together with the right of way on the line already surveyed between the termini of the road. 4th. A pre!imin.\ry subscription amounting to at least three thousand dollars, made payable to the Directors of the I. C. & D. Railway, in installments as they may deem necessary, for the purpose of defraying all expenses incurred in inaugurating this enterprise it being especially provided that the subscriptions thuB made arc included in the donations promised and so far as paid are to be credited on the donations of the several subscribers.

On motion, the delegates from the several counties were requested to form in their own counties committees to secure the increase in subscriptions.

The following committee was appointed on behalf of Montgomery county—Messrs. Lewis Wallace, J. Gutluie, James Graham, D. Ilarter, V. Q. Irwin, S. C. Willson, R. Beck, W..K. Wallace,- S. M. Huston, J. S. Brown, T. II. Scott,- R. II. Craig. Jns. Nolan, and J. W. Blair.

The following committee was appointed to prepare an address for publication in the papers along the line, Messrs. J. W. Blair,' L. Wallace. J. L. Campbell, A. Thompson, J. McManomy, J. Lingerman and Dr.Trowbridge.
