Our LETTER A FAMILY SEWING MACHINE is fast gaining a world-wide reputation. It is beyond doubt the best, cheapest and most beautifu Family Sewing Machine yet offorcd to the public No other (amily Sowing Machine has so many use ful appliances for Hemming,

It is fast becoming as popular for family sowing as our Manufacturing machines arc for manufacturing purposes.

MACHINES FOR MANUFACTURING PURPOSES.

Our Xos. 1 and 2 Machines aro of great capacity and application for manufacturing purposes—-tailor-ing. shoo fitting, and so forth.

Our No. 3 Machines (with Vibrating Prcsser, which is indispensable for heavy patent leather work) are especially adapted to all kinds of light and hoavy Leather Work, in Carriage Trimming, Boot and Shoo Making, Harness Making, etc., etc. They aro of extffi ll*a, witK an a»d long anaugli to if and stitoh the largest sized carriage dashes. Thero is scarcely any part of a Trimmer's stitching that cannot bo better dono by them than by hand so, too, tho saving of time and labor is very great, Tho table of these Machines is 2-1 inches long, and the shuttle will hold six times as much thread ns the shuttle of those used for tailoring purposes. Tho large machines work as fast as small ones.

Tho public have been swindled by spurious machines made in imitation of ours. The metal in them, from the iron casting to tho smallest piece is of poor quality. It is only by doing a great business, and having extensive manufacturing establishments, that good machinos oan be made at moderate prices. The best designed Machines. BADLY MADE, are always liable to get out of order, and are sure to cost considerable trouble and money to keep them in repair.

The qualitios to bo looked for in a mochine are: certainty of correct action at all rates of speed, simplicity of construction, great durability, and rapidity of operation, with the least labor.— Machinos, to combine these essential qualities, must be made of tho best metal and finished to perfection. We have tho wayaapd means, on a grand scale, to do this.

The purchasers of Machines, whoso daily bread it may concern will find that those having tho above qualities not ODly work well nt rapid as well as Slow raton of speed, but last longest in the finest possible working order. Our Machines, AS MADE BY US. will earn more money with less labor than any others, whether in imitation of ours or not. In fact thoy aro cheaper than any other Machines as a gift.

All genuine Singer Machines will be repaired (though it seldom happens that they require it) at tho offices of our agents.

TheBranoh Offices aro well supplied with silk, twist, thread, needles, oil, Ac., of tho very best quality.

Send for a PAMPHLET. The Singer Manufacturing Company, 458 Broadway Now York.

ing, Gathering, Guaging, Braiding, Cording and so forth. Iso other Machine has so much capacity for a great variety of work. It will sow all kinds of cloth, and with all kinds of thread. Great and recent improvements make this Machine reliable, durable, and most certain in action at all rates of speed. It makes the interlocked stitch, which is the best stitch known. Any one, ©f ordinary capacity, can see, at a glance, how to use our letter AMachinc.

The Folding Case of this Machine is a piece of cunning workmanship of the most useful kind. It protects the machine when not in use, and when about to be operated may bo opened as a spaoious and substantial table to sustain the work. While
