Our LETTER A FAMILY SEWING MACHINE is fast gaining a world-wide reputation. It is beyond doubt the bost, cheapest and most beautifu. Family Sowing Machine yet offered to the public. No other Family Sowing Machine has so many useful appliances for Hemming,
Binding, Felling, Tuck
ing, Gathering, Gunging. Braiding, Cording and so forth. No other Machine has so much capacity for a great variety of work. It will sew all kinds of cloth, and with all kinds of thread. Great and rcoont improvements mako this Machine roliablo, durable, and most ocrtain in action at all rates of spocd. It xnakos the interlocked stitch, which is the beststitoh known. Any ono, ef ordinary capacity, oan see, at xt—hino
The Folding Case of this Machine is "a ennning workmanship of the most usoful kind. It protects the macliino when not in use, and when about to be operated may bo opened as a spacious and substantial table to suBtain the work. While some of theJ3ases. made of tho choicest woods, aro finished in tno simplest manner possible, others aro adorned and embellished in tho most costly and superb manner.
It i« absolutely necessary to soo tho Family Maohinc in operation, to judge of itsgreatcapacity and beauty.
It is fast becoming as popular for family sewing as our Manufacturing machines are for manufacturing purposes.
MACHINE^ FOR MANUFACTURING PURPOSES.
Our Nos. 1 and 2 Machines aro of groat capacity and application for manufacturing purposos—tailoring, shoo fitting, and so forth.
Our No. 3 Machines (with Vibrating Pressor, which is indispensable for heavy patent lcathor work) aro ospecially adapted to all kinds of light and hoavy Leather Work, in Carriage Trimming, Boot and Shoo Making, Marness Making, etc., etc. They aro of extra sizo, with an arm long enough to tako under it and stitch tho largest sized carriage dashes. There is scarcely any part of a Trimmer's stitching that cannot bo better done by them than by hand so, too, tho saving of time and labor is very great. The table of these Machines is 21 inches long, and the shuttle will hold six times as much thread as tho shuttle of those used for tailoring purposes. The large machines work as fast as smnll ones.
The public have boon swindled by spurious machines made in imitation of ours. The metal in them, from tho iron casting to thoMiiallcst piece is of poor quality. It is only by doing a great businoss, and having extensive manufacturing establishments, that good machines can bo made at moderate pricos. Tho best designed Mnchincs. BADLY MADE, are always liable to get out or order, and aro sure to cost considerable trouble and money to keop them in repair.
Tho qualities to bo looked for in a mochine are: certainty of correct action at all rates of speed, simplicity of construction, great durability, and rapidity of operation, with the least hibor.— Machines, to combine these essential qualities, must be made of the Ssfct metal and tinlshcd to perfection. Wo have tho ways and moans, on a grand scale, to do this.
Tho purchasers of Machinos, whose daily broad it may conccrn will find that thoso having tho abovo qualitios not only work well nt rapid as well as Slow rates of speed, but last longest in the finest possible working order. Our Machines, as made by ca. will earn more money with less labor than any others, whether in imitation of ours or not. Ia faot thoy are cheaper than any othor Machines as a gift.
All genuine Singor Maohines will bo ropaircd (though it soldom happens that they requiro it) at the offices of our agents.
The Branch Offices aro well supplied with silk twist, thread, needles, oil, Ac., of tho vory best quality.
