Our LETTER A FAMILY SEWINO MACHINE is fast eainine a world-wide reputation. It is beyond doubt tlio best, cheapest nnd most beautiful Family Scwinit Machine yet offered to tho public. No other Family Setrinar Machine tuu so many useful appliances for Hemming.Binding. Felling. THckin?. Gathering Oua^ing, Braidin?, Cording and so forth. Noothcr Machine has so much capacity for a great variety of work. Itwill S'"w all kinds ot'clnlh. and with all kinds of thrond. Qreat and recent improvements make this Maehino reliable, durable, and most ccrtain in action at all rates of speed. It makes :he interlocked stitch, which is the beststiteh known. Any ono. ef ordinary capacity, can see, at a glance, how to use our letter A Machine.
Tho Foklin«_C V8e sf this Machine is a piece of ennmng workmanship ot tne musb u,
uu
protects the machine when not in use, and when about to be operated may bo opened as a spacious and substantial tab to sustain the work. While some of the Cases made of the choicest woods, are finished in tho simplest manner possible, others iire adorned and embellished in the most costly and superb manner.
It is absolutely necessary to see tho Family Machine in operation, to judge of its great capacity and beauty. ltis fast becoming as popular for family sewing as our Manufacturing machines ar,o for manufactur-
MACHINES FOR MANUFACTURING PURPOSES.
Our Nos. 1 and 2 Machines are of great capacity and application for manufacturing purposes—tailoring. shoe fitting, and so forth.
Our No. 3 Machines (with Vibrating Pressor, which is indispensable for heavy patent leather work) arc especially adapted to all kinds of light and heavy Leather Work, in Carriage Trimming, Boot and Shoe Making. Marness Making, etc., etc. Thoynroof extra size, with an arm long enough to tako under it and stitch the largest sized carriage dashes. There is scaredy any part of a Trimmer's stitching that cannot be better done by them than by hand: so, too, the saving of time and labor is very great. The table of these Machines is "4 inches long, and the shuttle will hold six times as much thread as the shuttle of thoao-used for tailoring purposes. The large machines work as fivaj, as smtill ones.
The public have been -swindled by spurious machines made in imitation of ours. The metal in thom.from tho iron casting to the smallest piece is of poorquality. It is only by doing a great business, and having extensivemanufaetu ring establishments, that good machines can be made at moderate prices. The best designed Machines. BADLY MADE, are alwaysliablo 'ogot out of order, and nrcsuro to cost considerable trouble and money to keep thein in repair.
The qualities to bo looked for in a moebino are: certainty of correct action at all rates of speed,
simplicity of construction, great durability, and rapidity of operation, with the least labor.— Machines, to combine these essontial qualities, must be made of tho beat mctnl and flnlshed to perfection. Wo havo the ways and means, on a grand scale, to do this.
Tho purchasers ot Machines, whoso daily bread it may ooncorn will find that those having tho above qualities not only work well nt rapid as well as slow rates of spoed.but lost longest in tho finest possible working order. Our Machines,
