Our LETTER A FAMILY SEWING MACHINE is fast gaining a world-wide reputation. It is beyond doubt the best, cheapest and most beautiful Family Sowing Machine yet offered to the public. No other Family Sewing Machine has so many useful appliances for Hemming.
Binding, Felling, Tuck
ing, Gathering, Guaging, Braiding,"Cording and so forth. No other Machine has so much oapaoity for a groat variety of work. It will sew all kinds of cloth, and with all kinds of thread. Great and recent improvements make this Machine roliablo, durable, ofc ooiVte'ksk V_ m.4. O.U f«kt_AQ of PDGod. It makos tho interlooked stitch, which is tho boststitch known. Any one. ef ordinary capaoity, can see, at a glanco, how to uso our letter A Machino.
The Folding Case of this Machine is a pieco of cunning workmanship of the most useful kind. It* protects tho machine when not in use, and when about to bo oporatod may bo opened as a spacious and substantial table to sustain tho work. MY hile some of the Cases, made of tho choicest woods, aro finished in tho simplest manner possible, others ate adorned and embellished in tho most costly a,ad suporb manner.
It is absolutely necessary to see the Family Machine in operation, to judge of its great oapacity and beauty.
It is fast becoming as popular for family sewing! as our Manufacturing machines are for manufaotur ing purposes.
MACHINES FOR MANUFACTURING PURPOSES.
OurNos. 1 »nd8 Machines aro of groat capacity and application for manufacturing purposos—tailor ing. shoe fitting, and so forth.
Our No. 3 Maohinos (with Vibrating Prosscr, which is indispensable for heavy patont leather work) aro especially adapted to all kinds of light and heavy Leather Work, in Carriage Trimming, Bdotand ShOo Making, Marness Making, oto., etc. Thoy are of^extra size, with an arm long enough to take under it and stitoh the largest sized carriage dashls. There I is scarcely any part of a Trimmer's«stitching that I cannot be better done by them than by hand *, so, too, tho saving of time and labor is very great, The table of these Machines is 34 inohes long, and the h^Ulo will hold six times as muoh thread as tho shuttle of those used for tailoring purposes. Tho largo machines work as fast as small onos.
The publio havo boon swindlod by spurious machines made in imitation of ours. The metal in them, from the iron casting to the smallest pieeo is of poor quality. It is only by doing a great business, and having cxtonsive manufacturing establishments, that good machines oan bo made at moderate prices. Tho best designed Maohinos. BADLY MADE, are always liable to get out of order, and are sure to cost considerable trouble and money to Veep them in repair.
The qualitios to bo looked for in a mochino are: certainty of correct action at all rate* of speed, iplieity of construction, great durability, and rapidity of operation, with the least labor. Maohines, to comblno these essential qualities, must be made of the best Metal and flalskdi to perfcetloa We have the ways and means, on a grand scale, to do this.
Tho parchasors oi Machines, whose daily bread it may conoern will find that those having the above qualitios not only work well nt iwpld as well as Slow ratos of speed, but last longest in the finest.possible working order. Oar Maohinos, A8 MADB BT US. will earn more Money with less labor than any othors, whethor in imitation of ours or not. In fact they aro cheaper than any other Maohines as a gift,
All gonulne Singer Maohines will be repaired (though it seldom happens that they rcquiro it) at tho offices of our agents.
Tho Branoh Offices aro well supplied with silk, twist, thread, needles, oil, Ac., of tho very best quality.
