Our LETTER A FAMILY SEWING MACHINE is fast gaining a world-wide reputation. It is boyond doubt tho best, cheapest and most beautiful Family Sowing Maohino yet offered to the public. No other Family Sowing Machino has so many usoful appliances for Hemming."Binding, Felling, Tucking, Gathoring, Guaging, Braiding, Cording and so forth. No other Machine has so much capacity for a groat variety of work. It will sow all kindiuof cloth, and with all kinds of thread. Great and recent improvements mako this Machino roliablo, durable, and mostcortain in action at all rates of speod. It makes the interlocked stitch, which is the boststitch i»nn soc. at glanco. how to uso our letter A Machino.

Tho Folding Case of this Machine is a piece of cunning workmanship of tho most useful kind. It protects tho machino when not in use, and whon about to bo operated may be oponed as a spacious and substantial table to sustain tho work. While some of the Cases, mado of tho choicost woods, aro finished in tho simplest manner possible, others aro adorned and embellished in the most costly and saporb manner.

It is absolutely necessary to soo tho Family Maohino in operation, to judge of its great oapacity and beauty.

It is fast becoming as popular for family sewing as our Manufacturing maohinos are for manufacture ing purpoBos.

MACHINES FOR MANUFACTURING PURPOSES.

Our Nos. 1 and 3 Machinos aro of g^cat onpscity and application for manufacturing purposes—tailoring, shoe fitting, and so forth.

Our No. 3 Machines (with Vibrating Prosser, which is indispensablo for heavy patent leather work) aro especially adapted to all kinds light and heavy Leather Work, in Carriage Trimming, Boot and Shoo Making, Marnoss Making, oto., oto. They are of extra size, with an arm long enough to tako undor it and stitch the largest sized carriage dashes. Thoro is scarcely any part of a Trimmer's stitching that cannot bo bottor dono by them than by hand so, too, tho saving of time and labor is vory great^ The table of these Machines is 34 inches long, and tho shuttle will hold six times as much thread as tho shuttle of thoso used for tailoring purposes. Tho largo machines work as fast as small ones,

Tho public have boon swindled by spurious machinos mado in imitation of ours. The metal in them, from tho iron casting to the smallest piocoisof poor quality. It is only by doing a great business, and having extensive manufacturing establishments, that good machines can bo mado at moderate prices. Tho best designed Machines, BADLY MADE, are always liable to got out of order, and aro suro to cost considerable troublo and monoy to keep thom in repair.

The qualities to bo looked for in a mochinc aro: certainty of correct action at all rates of speed,

simplicity of construction, great durabilityand rapidity of operation, tcith the leant labor.— Maohinos, to comblao tneso essential qualities, must be mado of tho best metal and finished to perfection. We have tho ways and moans, ona grand scale, to do this.

Thojpurcbasers of Machines, whoso daily broad it may concern will find that those having tho abovo qualitios not only work well nt rapid as well as slow ratos of Bpeud, but last longest in tho Dnost possible working order. Our Maohinos, AS MAPS BY US. will earn more money with less labor than any others, whother in imitation of ours or not. In fact thoy are choapor than any other Machines aB a gift.

All* gonuino Singer Machines will bo repaired (though it seldom happens that they require it) at tho oflicos of our agents.

Tho Branch Offices aro well suppliod with silk, twist, thread, noodles, oil, Ac., of tho vory bost quality.
