Tins AMAi.GAMATrqx ofJ^AXcrjucES.—There is a crowing tendency in this age to appropr 1 ftte the most expressive words of other language*. and after awhile to incorporate them into our owh: thus the word Cephalic, which isfrom the Greek. signifying "for the head now becoming popularized in connection wi'th'Mr. Spalding's great Headache remedy, but it will so in be used ill a more general way. ar.d the word Cephalic will b'.omno na common as Electrotype and many others whosi distinction ns foreign .wonb has been worn away by common usage until they secia "native and to the manor born."

'ardly Realized.

Hi 'ad an 'orriblc 'eadachc this hafternoon. hand I stepped into the hapothecaries hand say-f hi to the man. "Can yon hease me of iin Vndaehe?" "Does it hache 'ard," says 'c. "flcxccedinijly." says hi, hand upon that 'egnvemea Cephalic i'ill. hand 'pon me 'onor it cured nic so^quick that I 'ardly realized I 'ad an 'eaduche.

)iyHEADACHE is the.favorite sign by which nature makes known any deviation whatever from the natural sUte of the brain, and viewed.'in this lignt it may be loohed on Hi" ft safeguard intended to give notice of disease which might otherwise escape attention, till too late to be remedied and its indications she'd never be neglected. Hcadachcsmay be classified under two names, -viz: Symptomatic and Idiopathic.— Symptomatic Headache is exceedingly common and is the precursor nf a great variety of diseases, among which arc Apoplexy, Gout. Rheumatism and all febrile diseases. In its nervous form it is sympathetic of disease of the stomach constituting SICK IIK.ilACHE, of hepatic disease constituting bii.IOI'S headaciik, of worms, constipation and other disorders of the bowels as well as renal and uterine affections.— Diseases of the heart aro very frequently attended with Headaches Anaemia and jlethoraare also affections which frequently occassion headache. Idiopathic Headache is alto very common, being usually distinguished by the name of NKitvot'5 HEADACHE. sometimes comiugon suddenly in astateot apparently sound health and prostrating at[once the mental and physical energies, and in othor instances it comes on slowly, hciaided by depression of spirits or acerbity of temjiar. In most instances the pain is in the front of the head, over mc or both eyes, and Sometimes provoking vomiting under this «bws may also be named N'EI~kai. IA.

For the treatment of either class of Headache the Cephalic Pills have been found a sure and safe remedy, relieving the most acute pains in a few minutes, and by iU subtle power eradicating the diseases ol which Headache is »,heunerring index.

Uridoet.—Missus wants you to send her a box of Cephalic Glue. 110, a bottle of Prepared Pills—but I'm thinking that's not just it oaithcr but perhaps ye'l be afther knowing what it i-\ Ye see she's nigii lead and gone wid the Sick Headache, and wants some more of that sameasrelaved her before.

Di:i"(it isr.—You must mean Spalding's Cephalic Pills. UitilHiET.—Oehl sure now ami you'vesed it. lieru'.i the q.iarther and giv me the Pills iiiul don't be all iav about it ait'ucr.

Constipation or Costiveness.

N'o one of the "many ills that flesh is heir to" is so prevalent, so little understood, and so much neglected as Co.-tivenes.M. Often originating in carelessness, or sedentary habits it i-i regarded as asliglit disorder of too little consequence to excite anxiety, while in reality it the precursor and companion of many of the most fatal and dangerous diseases, and unless early eradicated it will bring the sufferer to an untimely grave. Among the lighter evsls of which eos-livene.-s is the n.-ual attendant are Headache. Colic, Rheinnvti-m. Feul Hreath. Piles and others of like nal urc. while a long train of frightful dissases, such

Malignant Fevers. Abee-ses. I'ysentary, Diarrhfea. I'yspep-ia, Apoplexy. Epilepsy, Paralysis. Hysteria. Hypoi-hoiidria-i.-. Melancholy and insanity, last indicate their presence in the system by this alarming symptom. .V»t unfrequently the diseases named originate in Constipation, but take on an independent existence unless the cause is eradicated in an early stage. From till these considerations it follows that the disorder should receive immediate attention whenever i! occurs, and no person sii.uld neglect to get a, box of Cephalic Pills on the first appearance of the complaint, as their timely use will expel the inidious approaches of disease and destroy this dnnl'oiis foe to human life.
