Fever and Ague is not alone the consequcnce of the miasmatic poison. A great variety of disorders arise from its irritation, among which are Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Gout, Headache, Blindness, Toothache, Earache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpitation, Painful Affection of the Spleen, Ilysterics, Pain in the Bowels, Colic, Paralysis, and Derangement of the Stomach, all of which, when originating, in this cause, put on the intermittent type, or become periodical.
