Be it ordained by tho President and Trustees of the Town of Crawfordsville that no person hereafter shall be icrniittcd to sell at public auction any species of property within tlio corporate limits of said town, without being licensed so to do, except officers aetin.sr acting in their official capacity, nnd persons acting under the authority of the several Courts of the State of Indiana.
SEC. 2. And be it further Ordained that any person desirous of acting as a public auctioneer for the Sale of any species of property within the corporate limits of said Town, .-hall first obtain from the Treasurer of said corporation a license for that purpose, and no license shall be granted until the person wishing to act as sucl. public auctioneer shall pay the sum of FIFTEEN- DOLLARS to the said Treasurer, and npon such payment the said Treasurer shall issue to such person a license permitting him to act as a public auctioneer within snch corporate limits for the term of one year from tho date of such license.
SEC. 8. Be it further Orduincd that any person desirous to act as a public auctioneer for the sale of property within the corporate limits of said Town Tor a'lcss period than ono year, shall he permitted so to do by paying to tho Treasurer of said Town Two Dollars for the first day and One Dollar for each and every day thereafter lie mav thus desire to sell, and upon such payment the treasurer shall issue a license to sncn person permittinp him to act as such public auctioneer within such cr rporatc limits for the length of time desired by sucn person.
