wan introduced and used for the first time during the harvest of 1S56, when nearly two hundred and fifty of them were fold, and, though new, it hns.ulready established for itself a 'lobulation which hus nover boen reached by any other Combined Reaper and'Mower, and it now occupies a position far in advance of all its competitors.

Wo havo made some vahiablo improvements. suggested by earoful observation and experimedt during the last harvdst. These will bo added to all our'Roapcrs and Mowers row building lor tho harvest of 1857.

ADJUSTABILITY.—This machine can be changed froma Reaper to a Mower in five minutes, and when at work can be altered to any desired height in one half minute. Tho following premiums have been awarded to this machine during and since the harvest of 1S5G:

First Premium, as a Mower, over Manny's Machine, 011 trial, before the Committee of the Eminence Association First Premium as a Reaper, and as a Combined Ken per and Mower over Manny's Machine, .011 trial, beforo tho Committeo of the South-Western Agricultural and Mechanical .Association. This Machine is got tin at a greater expense, is made of better materials, (being chiefly of wrought iron) with abetter finifh, and Is nioro durable than any other Harvester, while, at the same time, the price is as low as that asked for the most ordinary Combided Machines.

SINGER'S SEWING MACHINES.

GREATSUCCESS

is alwa)*s the most conclusive

proof cf great merit. Judged by this test there is no labor-saving machine before the public comparable to Singer's Sewing Machines. After establishing tho highest reputation in the United States they were exhibited at the late "Exposition Universclle" in France, where they carried off the highest premium and a great manufactory to make them has been built in Paris.

In every Branch of Industry

In which sewing is to be done, these machines can be used with immense profit. As the speed of the Railway train is to traveling on foot, so is sewing with Singer's Machines compared with liand-scw-ing. No tailor, shoemaker, dressmaker, carriage trimmer, saddler, hatter, &e., &c.. should be without one. The fair profit of using one of these machines, regularly employed, is

One Thousand Dollars a year. In all private families where there is much sewing to be done these machines are an invalnable assistance. Planters and hotel keepers find them particularly convenient and profitable. These machines are simple in their construction and very strong and durable, being tho only kind of Scwin_ Machine ever made, by whicli every sort of worlf, coarse or fine, could be perfectly cxecntcd. Thousands of inferior and worthless Sowing Machines have been made and sold under varions names, but Singer's Machines alone have been found everywhere to satisfy the wants of the public.

Piain printed instructions for using, arc sent with each machine, from which any one can rcadtly acquire the art of managing them. The machines are packed securely to go to any part of the world. To all persons desiring more particular information we will, on application by letter at either of our offices forward a copy of I. M. Singer & Co's Gazette. a paper w'holly devoted to the Sewing Machine interest.
