THE KICSTUCK HARVESTER A O iN E E A E A N O W E Patented, November 25th., 1856.

Miller. Wingato & Co., Manufactm'ers, Louisville, Ky.

rpiMS Machine was introduced and used for the first time during the harvest of 1S."G. when nearly .1. two hundred nnd tifty of them wore sold. nnd. thoiitrh new, it lias already established for itself a iebullition which has never been read cd by nny other Combined Reaper and Mower, and it now occupies a position far in advance of all its competitors.

We have made some valuable improvements, suggested by careful observation and expeiimedt during the Inst harvest. These will be added to all our Reapers and Mowers now building for the harvest of 16.17.

A1)J USTATHT.ITY.—This machine can le changed from a Reaper to a Mower in five minutes, and when at work can bo altered to any desired height in one half minute. The following premiums have been awarded to this machine during and since the harvest of 1856:

First l'retnium ns a Mower, over Manny's Machine, on trial, before the Committee of the Eminence Association First Premium ns a Reaper, and as a Combined Reaper and Mower over Manny's Machine, on trial, before the Committee of the South-Westeru Agricultural and Mechanical Association. Louisville,'Kv First Premium as a Reaper over the New York Hand leaking Reaper, the New York Self-lin-king Reaper, and Manny's Machine, ntthc Kontticky State Fair, held nt Paris, Oct. IS.'jO also an extra Premium ns a combined Header and Mower, over Manny's Mnchiuc, at the same Fair.

This Mnchino is pot up at a greater expense, is made of better materials, (being chiefly of wrought iron), with abetter finish, and is more iiiirnble than any other Harvester, while, at the same time, the price is ns low ns that asked for the most trdinnry Combided Machines.

One of these mat liines can be seen set up, and in complete workins order at CilRISTMAN & GREGG'S, Crawfordsville. Indiana. May 10,1

SINGER'S SEWING MACHINES.

GREATSUCCESS

is always the most conclusive

proof cf great merit." Jndgcd by this test there is no labor-saving machine before the public comparable to Singer^ Sewing Machines. After establishing the highest reputation in the United States they were exhibited at the late "Exposition Uni versclle" in France, where they carried off the highest premium and a great manufactory to make them lias been built in Paris.

In every Branch of Industry

In which sewing is to be done, these machines can be used with immense profit. As the speed of the Railway train is to traveling on foot, so is sewing with Singer's Machines compared with hand-sew-ing. No tailor, shoemaker, dressmaker, carriage trimmer, saddler, hatter, Ac., fcc., should be without one. The fair profit of using one of these machines, regularly employed, is

One Thousand Dollars a year. In all private families where there is much sewing to be done these maehinca arc an invaluable assistance. Planters and hotel keepers find them particularly convenient and profitable. These machines arc simtile in their construction and very strong and durable, being the only kind of Sewing Machine ever made, by which every sort of work, coarse or fine, could be perfectly executed. Thousands of inferior nnd worthless Sewing Machines have been made and sold under various names, but Singers Machines alone have been found everywhere to satisfy the wants of the public.

Piain printed instructions for using, arc sent with each machine, from which any one can readtly acquire the art of managing tlicni. The machines are packed securely to go to any part of the world. To all persons desiring more particular information we will, on application by letter at either of our olliecs forward a copy of I. M. Singer & Co's Gazette, a paper wholly devoted to the Sewing Machine interest.
