PWWOSET of our subscribers who Ji- know themselves indebted to oj for Subscription and AdrertisIng must make some arrangements settle off their accounts immediately. Those who are unable to I pay up in full must pay what they I can, and if they cannot do that they must notify us immediately of the fact as we intend to publish the name of every man, who, after the 1 1st of June, does not either settle
tor give us some assurance that he intends to pay, we shall publish his name, and place our accounts in the hands of the proper officers for collection. We have upon our Books some excellent subscribers I who are always prompt in paying their subscription, while there are others, and their name is legion, who have never paid us a cent frtim the.day we first commenced publishing, which is now over three years. These are the individuals we are now after, pnd if they don't face the music, we shall resort to such measures as will convince them that there is yet a God in Israel.

'1: An.,esteemed correspondent sends as the following, account of an "accident" on the New York and Erie,,'-The little one thus.whptfed into, life, ought to prove a fae&uMfividitftl
Dear Kurnel: I have frequently heard of "births on the cars but never was present when such a drama was enacted, till'a few'days since, while journeying to Gotham. At Bighamton an elderly lady and hofjUDDD^rried daughter came: aboard, destined some hundred miles or more cast, whence^£y^Qtcndel staging it^about the same distance south. -i .'Jhe daughter, who sat in the seat next ahead of me, was a large, good-l?oking girl ftnd/atlpcarcd to me "rather out of hoaltb— looked pale and agitated, and had' frequent resort to a bottle containing some sort of ntimulating mixture. Ilcr good looks and her unhappy apparancc cxcitcd my admiration and coimuisseration si-multauconsly But finally, about two o'clock in the morniygi^ I dropped off into a sound sleep. iho first I know or thought of, some one roused me by a good* shaking, and asked inc "if I would have the kindness to surrcndcrmy seat to a sick young lady?" I departed at oncc to a scat some feet distant, where I sat down by a gentleman evidently belonging to the reverend clergy."Well," said he, "they are having quite a time out where yo:i sat."
In a state of misty obfuscation, from the loss of sleep, I was ignorant of what had transpired,'and innocently asked what he mcnt. "Why," shid^he, "didn't you know that the-lady- next ahead of you has just been delivered of a fine child?"—and at that- instant the impromptu juvenile set npaloud screaming, which told the whole «tory at once.
A middle-age'German lady very benevolently nsaisftd at the operation, which passed on much in the usual inauner—and tho "virgin"* mother soon became, to use an oft-repeated phrase, "ag comfortable..as eould be expected."
The grattmd, who did't seem to* "know a plenty," pr was incensed at the wayward conduct of the daughter, was going to start at oncc for her home, in the stage, thus hurrying off the poor girl within three hours after the birth of the child! The passengers, remonstrated against this and the conduetor—I forget his name—went to the hotel with them, and ordered the good Boniface to keep the mother and child at least a week, take the best care of them, and if the New York and Eric Co., didn't pay the damage, he would. We then whistled along as demure and orderly as though nothing had happened. You will admit, my dear "Kurnel,"1 that that was a "scone" for a modest young man like myself, to say nothing of several young ladies who were likewise seated near.
You can insert Ms. under tha standing head of "Railroad Accidents," and believe mc. $r
