Friends and foes, of all ages and sexes hear me when I say, that from this good hour, henceforth and forever 1 denounce all allegiance to Know Nothingism. I was taken into the order without a knowledge of its treason and atrocities. I was then bound with chains, my will was outrageously curbed with oaths and obligations that chilled my 'blood and filled me with horror. But now

I am free, I make my own resolutions, I worship my own God and vote my own ticket. My opinion of the Know Nothing Order is that it tends directly to a dismemberment of the Union of the United States, and that there is no intolerance and bigotry more dangerous and threatening than that which is inculcated in every Know Nothing Council. Now I am a responsible man. I" live irr Coat Creek township two miles and a half south of New Richmond, I was a member of the Chris. Miller Council at Crawfordsville and all I have stated I am personanally accountable for. And before I close this card, ..that all the Vorld may know whal I hav6 done I demand my name struck from the list, with the help of God I am no longer a dupe but a free man.

A NEW IDEA IN ELECTIONEERING. 5 Put a man upas a candidate, and .his ruling passions will, if anything, develbp themselves more strongly than ever. Everybody knows McNeil is a great fisherman, a decided death on goggle-eyes and suckers but we apprehend nobody ever thought of Mc. electioneering on thestrengih of his piscatorial habits. We arc credibly informed that he does carry with him red-corks, fish hooks, and sea-grass lines for solemn presentation to his friends of the whig school. Let the people look out hereafter, and in good fishing seasons get the Squire nominated for some office, and they will find the sport quite economical.

For tlie Review.

CHAWFORDSVILLE, Sept. 22, 1855. At a recent meeting of Montgomery Lodge No. 50, Free and Accepted Masons, the following preamble and resolutions were .adopted: WHEREAS, It has pleased the Supreme Ruler of the Universe to call from time to eternity our worthy Brother, Delos Hays, late of Dupont Lodge, Indiana therefore

Resolved, That we deeply deplore his loss as a worthy member of the Masonic fraternity.

Resolved, That we tender our heartfelt sympathies to his parents and sister in their irreparable loss.

Resolved, That we wear the usual badge of mourning for thirty days. Resolved, That a copy of these'resolutions signed by the W. M. and Secretary, be transmitted to the parents of our deceased Brother also, that a copy thereof be furnished the Journal and Review for publication. JACOB WINN, W. M.

DARK COLORED KNOW NOTHINGISM.—The Cleveland (Ohio) Express, a Know Nothing Abolition sheet in speaking of the elections recently held in that says: "The colored population generally voted for the American ticket, day before yesterday. A fine military company from Newtown have notified us of their intention to be present. Let the National Democracy of old Montgomery turn out to a man on this occasion.. It will be the last rally that we shall have before the election. Able speakers will be in attendance to address the meeting. Every arrangement has been made for the accommodation and comfort of the ladies and children. We want every man to bring his children, as the committee have not overlooked the wants of these little folks. The different delegations as they arrive will proceed to the commons in the south part of town, where the marshal's will form them ..in a grand procession. STILL FURTHER EXTENSION. Finding it imposible otherwise to meet the demands upon his attention, Dr. CALVIX LR. FITCIC will extend his stay iii this city until the first of October, thus affording an opportunity to all who wish to avail themselves* Of this system of treating diseases of the Lungs, the success of which has been uniformly gratifying, and which Dr. Fitch fully believes will afford, relief in all cases which it is in the power of medicine to reach'.

Dr. Fitch would add tli'at his associate, Dr. J. W. SYKES, who has been familiar with, and practiced upon his system for four or five years past, has arrived from New York, nnd with his assistance he hopes to bo able to afiW.d all an interview on the day of their arrival. He would also add that as matters of importance require him to pass the winters in Europe, this will be the last opportunity which will be afforded for the present, to those desiring his assistance. Until the time above specified Dr. Fitch may be consulted daily, (Sabbath excepted,) at his rooms at tlie Sherman House, not only for diseases of the Lungs, but also for Female Complaints, and all diseases complicated with or predisposing to Consumption.
