I have had the attenuance ot sonic of the best physicians, wi'li but little success: the most they could do was to relieve—a cure was out of the question. For live months before com nieneing with your medicine, I had not been able to perform any labor, could walk but a iew steps at a time, and scarcely went out of doors—in short. was completely prostrated, both in body aiuMmnd. and expected to drag out the rest of my days in sutfeiirr and misery. Hut, reading your advertisement. I was induced to try your invaiuabic medicine called Uterine. Catholieon, a? the la resort.— I hud not used it a week before I felt line another woman. J5y the use of three bottles I wascnabled to perform all the labor for six in the family with ee.re. ami could walk anywhere in the neighborhood without injury. Nothing but a sci^e of my dutv to you and to the atilieted. has induced me to state li'.y case to the public. I can safely recommend the preparation to all those sr.llering like ni vself. Isurac the dimensions of three inches tl.ielby fifteen or twenty feet long". Tin are then cut to the length of four feet ten inches, and re-heated in what is called -'the top and bottom" furnaces. After this pro-ce-"s they are again rolled into six-inch bars 'and taken to the rail mill. The centre of the rail is composed of a number of threeinch bars of a poorer quality of metal

They are made three inches wide, as it appears a fuller edge can bo secured in that manner than by making them double that width. These pieces being- placed in their proper positions, (all '1 feet Io inches in length.) are again placed in furnaces and heated after which they are passed through the rougher rolls and then through the forming or finishing rolls where they received the form of a Trail. Yv hen being

drawn through the rolls the last time they 'are run out on a long buggy to two circular saws, (which make 1700 revolutions per minute.) where the ends, gem. rally ragged, are takc-n oil', leaving the full twenty feet rail.

The buggy conveys the rail to the straightening plates, were it is leveled laterally. It is then turned over and bent at an inclination of five inches, to make up for the contraction of the iron when cooled.— The rails, when nearly cooled, are completely straightened and turned over to the hands of the filers, in the "Doctor shop.'' where the edges are smooted down and dclecls noted and repaired.

Thirty tons of rails arc,,...turned out per dav at this establishment. A rail, forty feet long, intended for exhibition at the Eair, was made last week. This exceeds anything in that line in the United States, as an Eastern company having turned out one thirty-five feet long some time ago, which had previously been considered Lite largest.

pap'-r iie appears to be the corre.~pc-r.dent. Lester, it appeals, though a Wnig. supported Gen. Pierce, and after the election importuned him for office, which, on account of his infamous character was refu£cd him. Lester then, in revenge, assailed tiie admini.-traiioii through the London Times, which brought out some severe stri'-tures from the Boston Post and other papers.— The fellow has lately come out in the .Vow l'ork papers with a vain and egotistical epistle, in which he alleges that Gov. Marey and Cushing endeavored to induce him (Lester) to write letters to the Times praising the administration, if they did so, they did a very foolish thing but something more than Lester's mere word is needed to confirm this story.—Xcv: Albany Ledger.
