The supply of mottey lias continued ample, but with a sometfbat increased demand rates of interest are firmer but our previous range, vit.: 12 percent., embrace the out door rates. The discounts by the private Bankers are mostly at f2 per cent., but the current supply of business paper not bei'ni equal to that of mono}*, the latter can ifcnerally be obtained on first class securities, at 8(T' 10 per cent. The regular Hanks continue to do a fair discount business. The demand for Exchange has continued moderate, but owing to the advance in the rates of interest in New York, the market is firmer but we cannot make any fchango in quotations, though purchases have in some instances been made by Bankers, at ?y premium.— Cin. HAYING understood that J. B. Yauglian of Kipley T"wnship. in Montgomery county. Indiana, claims to be a partner of mine* and also, that he represents himself as having been' instrumental with myself, in c'feeting cures of the Cancer, upon different individuals in this county. Thisis therefore to notify the public, that the above representations of .1. 15. Yauglu.n are entirely false. Said Yaughan iias never bcv.li associated with nie as Partner, nor did lie ever contribute in the least to eifect any of the cures published in my haiid-biil. as any one may see by an examination of the diil'erent certificates.

J. M. Yaughan remained with me for some time as a student, but at no time while with me did lie ever treat a single case of cancer, or aiiv other diseasj. W. L. PIERCE.

CERTIFICATE.

1 do herebv certify that I was present at the time Dr. Pierce made the arrangements for the publication ol his hand-bills, containing the certificates of the cures etl'ected by him. and that in conversation between Dr. Pierce and J. 15. Yaughan. in my presence. Dr. Pierce said to Yaughan "that he intended to do something for him that he did not anticipate." Yaughan then stsked Dr. Pierce, "what it was.-' The l)r. replied. that he intended to associate his name with his in some shape or other, in the hand-hill, hut could not tell how until he saw the Publisher of the Review, and that that would show to the public t.hnt he. Ya'igiiaii. had tidied with him: and it might he of advantage to him hereafter." Yaughan apjv.ircd to be very much pleased with the proposition. 1 afterwards heard Doctor.-Pierce, in the presence of Vaughan, sav to Mr. Masterson. "that he wished him to put Yaug-ian's name in the hand-bills in the best way he thought proper, but that he. Yaughan, was not a Doctor nor a Partner." Mast"rson then said "he would put J. B. Yaughan's name as ASMKIATKD with Dr. Pierce."' in which xvav it appeared in the hand-bill. .1 ESSE ANCLE AYE.

ATTEST: C11AS. II. BOW EN. The above statement as to the publication of the hand-bills and theeoiiverMition between Dr. Pierce ::!id in.v.-clf. us eerlificd to by Mr. Yam-leave is true. My und-tail ling from both Dr. Pierce and J. B. Yaughan. was. that there was Partnership, and that .1. 15. Yaughan's name was merely inserted as an act of kin iness on the part of Dr. Pb-ree.
