BATHING MACHINE.

BATHING, its necessity arid expediency from the .structure arid the functions of the skin, tho cuticle is cast otf in minute powdry scale?. many of which arc retained upon the surface bv the pressure of clothing, these minglti vritfc the oily saline prodncta of the skin, and form a thin crust.— Thin crust, on account of its adhesiveness, collects particles of dust and soot from the atmosphere, and {'articles of foreign matter from onr dress, so that. in the co-:rso of tlie day, the whole body bceomes coated with impurities." If this coating remains it bccomea thick ami established upon the skin, and will produce the following effects:

First, the jwres will be obstructed, coQsca&cfttlr inspiration impeded, and the influence of the skin as mi e.vertive entirely prevented, and produces the following diseases:—Indigestion. Billionsnesa, Ascidity. a sense of oppression in the pit of the stomach. depression of the spirit. Ileavines, Cold hands and Feel,. Numbness of the limbs, and oth'jr parts, Vertigo Nausea, Difficulty of Respiration, Stupor, Irritability. Drowsiness, Debility, Extreme Languor and Exhaustion. Restlessness. Cestivcness. Head-ache. Extreme Nervous Agitation, Palnitation of the Ileurt, an Incapacity for the slightest exercise. dull, heavy paiii and sense of weight in the Head, a temporary loss of memorya sense of Grustness, Pulse less frequent and more feeble than usual. Despondency, Emaciation, and extreme Dcbilitv. A film of torcign substance on the skin will inevitably become the seat of deliterious infectious vapors. This is one reason why til thy persons contract infectious disease* more frequently than individuals of more cleanly habits. Bathing is useful to promote cleanliness.

This bath which the undersigned have the right to manufacture and sell is one of the most convenient imaginable, and can be used equally well for wiirm or cold weatlrr for bathing, and only takes one bucket of water to supnly it for any length of time. The water is poured into the lower part of the Bath the. person bathing stands upon a platform above the water, and by a slight movement of the body, throwing the weight alternately from «'iie foot to the other, the water is forced up into the sprinkler, from which it comes down on the bather with much force, the water passing into the pump at the fulcrum, gives great power to the douhlu-act-"nig force pump placed under the feet of the bather, causing the water to shower down with any desired force indeed the bather has it in his power to produce a violent shock or gentle sprinkle by his own action. One bucket of water will answer evry purpose, (as one washbowl answers to wash aones face) tha same water being thrown over the 'bather repeatedly in a constant current but it is so •••.arranged that where it is not desirable to use the water more than once, it can be replaced with fresh water, with very little, trouble. These Baths are .warranted to be durable

General Agency Office At Cincinnati and paid with tin utmost promptitude according to the conditions of the Policy, as may be seen by the receipts of the several claimants on file.

This Company bases its operations upon such a perfected plan of cash premiums, well scattered risksand long experience in estimating hazards, that the interests of ail concerned are protected. The Company receives from almost innumerable sources and in small sums, a large animal deposit. Its Annual Premiums and Capital Stock Kxceed Sl.000,000!

From this fund, held as a public trust losses are paid. To secure for the public and the Company a permanent ability to meet every fair demand, all erroneous or fraudulent claims are of course rejected. This is the only plan of Insurance which can long deserve the public confidence. and the Undersigned agent confidently invites his friends to secure themselves at his Agency, again»t loss by SFaa-c, OY the Perils ol'NavigatiOES.

Tl.i advantages of this contract heed scarcely be urged upon wealthy men, or merchants, for they rarely neglect it. and if they do, tires leave them other resources. It is especially valuable to laboring men, mechanics and others of moderate means— who, perhaps, have little else than a home and its contents in the world.

These should never neglect-to insure a lire that may visit them at any hour would leave them homeless, and with no capital but their labor to begin again the struggle of life, and years of toil and watching must pass before they can regain what they have lost, if indeed it is ever done. To such, insurance is a duty. If the individual is worth little, the expense, is less if he owns mncli property, still, the expense is trilling, and by investing a few dollars he is safe. If he is overtaken by misfortune and his all laid in ashes, he receives a recompense in cash capital equal to his loss, and may soon restore what, has been destroyed.

POLICIES issued at all times, upon favorable terms by JA.MivS 1IEATON, Agent, for Crawfordsville and M"iitgomery County.
