Somerset Herald. "By the Bible, you are to understand, that it is the only law you ought to follow, it is that which Adam received at his creation, and which the Almighty engraved on his heart. This is called natural law" (This they understand to be the Bible. The revelation of God, therefore is to be 9et aside.) "In matters at religion to bo nlwayj prepared; not to be of the sentiments with sot?, idiots, and the lovers of the mysteries of religion. Thus all the decisions of theology and philosophy, teach not to admit, that which is not demonstrated as clearly, as that 2 and 2 are equal to 4." "If you ask me, what are the requisite qualities that a mason should be possessed of, to come to the centre of truth, 1 answer you that you must crush the head of the serpent of ignorance." (By this is meant the christian religion.) "You must shake oil tlie yoke of infant prejudice, concerning the mysteries of the reigning religion. To the Editor of the Philadelphia Sun. Sir That masonic influence was the leading and efficient cause of the pardon of Wilson; there is no doubt. That Wilson is a Mason, 'appears', evident, not only fiom the uncontradicted allegation in your paper, but from an expression used by his senior counsel a high masonic officer when addressing the Jury. "I appeal to jour sympathies, gentlemen," said he, "in behalf of a fellow-citizen, and Brother." I perfectly remember the impression made on me, at the time, by this most unusual and despc rate claim to brotherhood, in open court; and remarked to a person standing next to mc, "Wilson is a Mason; he is safe.1' A FRIEND TO JUSTICE.

In this paper of the 17th inst. we came before the public with an exposition detailing the reports and the facts relating to Wilsons pardon, and Porter's execution. It is now two weeks since; and though our paper has been cither read, or its leading statements been a subject of general conversation in this city, yet no important part of that expose has been contradicted to this time; and the most material part is fully confirmed; namely, that Wilson is a Free Mason! We again challenge the fraternity to deny this charge, as tiru facts and proofs roll in upon us everv day, in confirmation of the assertion. . " .
