The sweetest toned piano on the market. Read what some of its friends have to say about it:
fJ'n
WhiOH ll Mity Concern: I bought a Decker iirothers piano from Mr. George 1\ Hughes in 1V.M). It has jriven perfect satisfaction. I have no fault to lind with it. I think it a
I'kkiok instrument. In iuality of tone it cannot be excelled. After four years' trial we will say that if we should buy another piano we would select the Decker.

JAIL BREAKER CAPTURED.
Taylor Kobblns Overhauled Here After a Weary Walk from Lafayette.
Yesterday morning- Taylor Robbins, Dan Winchester and Tom Riley escaped from the Tippecanoe county jail at Lufayette by sawing into the corridor and then overpowering deputy Condon. The police here learned of the affair quite early and kept a lookout for the gay trio, all of whom were wanted for very serious charges—forgery and larceny. In the evening it was learned that one of the chaps was in town and resting at the home of Charley Harnard in the north end. Marshal Grimes, who engineered the affair, took Oftieer Bannister and swooped down on the residence. Charles Barnard and Oscar Waite were there with Mrs. Ben Crowe and all assumed an air of injured and cherubic innocense when asked if they were entertaining a stranger. Of course they were not and hadn't seen anyone outside the family since sundown. Officer Cirimes sometimes gets real rude, however, and even doubts the word of a high toned lady like Mrs. Crowe. lie proceed very placidly to tear down the bed and yank out a woe begone and footsore individual, who looked too disgusted to express his thoughts in words. Naturally the inmates of the house were greatly surprised to learn that a bad man had entered the house and got under the bed without their seeing him. "Law sakes!" exclaimed the righteous Mrs. Crowe, "I wonder where he come from." The man was Taylor Robbins and the charge against him is grand larceny, he having robbed a man at the Clark's Hill fair. He is a bad case and the Lafayette 'papers pronounce him the ringleader of the gang. He stated that he walked all the way from
Lafayette and his footsore condition seemed to prove it. He cursed his luck very heartily and took his capture with a bad grace The police received word that a reward would be paid for him and Marshal Grimes took him up to Lafayette at noon.
Mr. Barnard is getting for himself a very bad reputation. Harboring refugees from justice is a bad business and he may get yanked up some of these days with a jerk that will make his bones rattle.
The Chrysanthemum Sliow. .. The following items concerning the chrysanthemum show will be of interest to many. The exhibition will be given in Y. M. C. A. Armory, Nov. 13th to 17th. All florists in Montgomery county are invited to exhibit plants and may compete with each other. The business men have offered premiums valued at §181.55, and all amateurs in the county may compete for these as listed in the catalogue. There are three organizations working in this society the Aid Societies of the Methodist and Christian churches and Athens chapter O. E. S. Each will have booths and offer for sale fancy and useful articles: also serve lunches, delicacies and suppers. The evening programmes will be varied, each society giving an entertainment. On Saturday night Prof. Quinton and orchestra will give a concert of nine numbers.
The exhibition will open Tuesday, the 13th, at p. m. On each day following the doors will be open at 1:30 p. tn. The price of admission will be 10 cents. A competent and uninterested member of the State society will act as judge. No pains will be spared to make this first annual exhibition a success in every particular, and certainly all lovers of flowers, music, higher cultivation and home enterprise will give it their heartiest support.

Woman a
Woman is a conundrum most decidedly. Still we do not propose to give her up. Let a woman have her health and spirits and she is the sunshine of the house. But suppose she is sick what then? Why, then there is a shadow over al! the house, Happily in thousands of homes, such shadows have been removed. Thanks to Dr. l'ierce's Favorit Prescription, the diseases and weaknesses incident, to their sex have been removed, and with health restored, their bright spirits have come back, and the household has passed from tle winter of its discontent to a glad summer of comfort. O, suffering women, for your own sakes, and for the sakes of those about you, use these s'mple means and be healed. The only remedy so effective in nervous and general prostration. "Female Weakness," periodical pains, irregu|No larities and kindred ailments, that it increases in sale every year.
THE SOCIAL SEASOS.
"wo Very Pleasant Social Aflbira Occur Among Cs Last Evening.
Yesterday afternoon from 4 to t5 o'clock Mrs. S. E. Voris entertained about forty of her lady friends In a most hospitable manner at her. home on west Main street. The rooms of entertainment had been very prettily and artistically adorned for the 'reception and besides the beautiful flowers the lights were shaded in delicate tints of yellow, pink and green. The dining room decorations were especially attractive and here a delicious collation was served the guests. The hours of entertainment were most enjoyably passed by all who were present and the affair proved an eminently successful one.

Mrs. W. W. Morgan was made the victim of a genuine old time surprise party last evening, the affair being carried out by her husband and his lieutenants, Mrs. J. R. Bonnell and Mrs. Charley Gould. Mrs. Morgan was invited out for tea, it being her birthday, and when she returned at 8:30 found her house in the hands of seven-ty-live friends. She quickly ralied from the surprise and enjoyed the affair as much as any one. A sumptuous repast had been prepared and all did it ample justice. The evening was delightfully passed by such popular amusements as card playing and danciug and the merriment was continued until a late hour. Mrs. Morgan was made the recipient of a handsome rocking chair from friends.
