The sweetest toned piano on the market. Kead what some of its/riuiidb have to say about it: V'o It Mny Ciiifctit: 1 bought a Decker Brothers piano from Mr. (icorire K. Hughes in lst0. It lias iriven perfect satisfaction. I have no fault to find with it. I think it a STPKIUOH instrument. In quality of tone it cannot be excelled. After four year*" trial we will say that if we should buy another piano we would select the Decker.

The Pdoomington Mitrnlmj World has a very clever cartoon on the result of Saturday's game and in its writeup says: "At Crawfordsville, Saturday. U. met with an overwhelming defeat at the hands of Wabash. We were en tirely outclassed. No tale of woe accompanies the report of this game for the treatment our boys received was of the best, and the refereeing was un questionaby without partiality: the game was entirely devoid of any slug ging or display of ba 1 temper. On and off the field the Wabash players treated our boys as only gentlemen should and on the other hand I. W conducted herself in the most becoming manner, of course there were many rooters who naturally yelled themselves hoarse for their team, but whenever an I. I J. man made a good play, it was quickly acknowledged and was appreciated by hearty applause."

urdav afternoon ut 1 o'clock with a re-1 crowded last night to witness the in-
volver. The deed occurred at the home of his father, James Thompson, two miles northwest of Yountsville. lie lived until 10 o'clock Saturday night. Mr. Thompson was raised on the farm where he ended his life, but some time ago went to Lafayette, where he was employod by the street ear company. Four weeks ago he came home. He was despondent and the shooting was not entirely unexpected. On Saturday morning his mother noticed him cleaning his revolver and decided to keep a close watch on liini. Shortly before 4 o'clock a neighbor, Dick lloppingcaine in and in the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson playfully talked with Henry about an accident that had occurred to one of his-horses. AH joined in the laugh thai followed except Henry. He looked very serious, said nothing and a moment later stepped out into the yard. Returning to the front hall he placed the pistol directly in the middle of his forehead and tired. His parents were in the next room but did not of course see him until it was too late to stay his hand. He was conscious for two hours and part of the time was rational. In reply to questions he informed his parents that he had shot himself intentionally.

The First Presbyterian church was

Mr. Thomson begins his pastorate after several months' service in the church during which time lie has greatly endeared himself to the congregation. It is not to be doubted but that these friendly relations will be continued and great good accomplished in the eitv and church.
Death of Mrs. Clinrlen Cool man. Henry Coolinan and family were called to Thorntowu by the death of Mrs. Charles Cool man, who died Saturday afternoon at that place. She leaves a husband and three children, one a sweet little baby of only a few weeks. She was a member of the M. E. church. She was a kind, loving wife and mother, and was loved by all who knew her. Her death is a great shock to the family and friends as it has only been a short time since Mr. and Mrs. Coolman buried two of their children.
