There is a case on trial in the circuit court, in which brothers, sisters and relatives are all divided against one another over an estate. One siste wants extra compensation for the care of her father on account of alleged trouble it had caused, while another swears that lie caused no such trouble Disagreements over the spoils of estates cause many family feuds that last a life-time.

L. Davis presiding. The matter of permitting the manufacture and sale of pottery on the grounds and also giving space in floral hall for an exhibit, was referred to J. 11. Wasson.
The plans and speculations for the erection of a stock barn will be presented at the next monthly meeting of the directors.

Four men tied a rope across the road, and as he drove up they come out. expecting that lie would stop. The county commissioners and township trustees have granted prayer of a petition to change the rection of the Terre Haute road at the crossing of Oiliel Creek in order to sav the cost of building a new bridge. The road way is to be changed down th side of the Creek. The viewers are M. Killingsly, Win. Tomlinson and Asher Wert.

Last week it was found that tile T.ye Creek ditch was stopped up and an investigation was tnade. It was discovered that four foxes had crawled into the opening and going as far as possible had died. The opening was l.i-ineh sewer tile and where the foxes were found was 10-inch. Two of the animals were full grown.

"Tlie Irish Janitor."
The laughable comedy in four acts entitled "The Irish Janitor, or the Deestrick School." will he played at the Wliitlock avenue school, just north of the water works, on Friday evening, April IS, admission 15 cents. The proceeds are for the benefit of the school library. This is the school that made such a success of an entertainment last Christmas. Several parties from the city will attend tlie next Friday even ing entertainment.
Safe ltlowu Open.
The general store of S. S. Heath, at Alamo, was entered last night and many goods taken, consisting of gloves, watches and dry goods. The safe was also blown open and S12.50 secured. Another safe was blown open but the thieves failed to get the cash box open, which contained a neat sum. Entrance to the store was made through a hack window.
C011 Cunningham Appointed. The Indianapolis Sentinel says that Con Cunningham has succeeded in se curing an appointment. He is to be immigration inspector at Port Huron Mich., and will receive SI.300 a year Con was not weary in his efforts to se cure an appointment, and has be seeclied the faithful for over a year for some public place.

Crushed by a Falling Uoller. HARTFORD CITT, lnd., April 7.—A sixton boiler being placed In position at the Utility paper mill toppled over Friday, crushing William B. Price, straw buyer for the company. There were three other men under the boiler when it began to fall, but all got from under but Price. lie is living, but his chances for recovery are slight Two other workmen were injured, but not seriously.
Dad Iloyg Called Baldwin Names. OURBON,lnd.,April 7.—ElmerKouch, a young man living here, while passing the residence of Henry Baldwin was assaulted by the latter, who beat him into insensibility. For some time past boys have been aggrevating Baldwin by calling him names. He attacked Roach last night, thinking he was one of the offending parties.
Organized l.abor Wins Keerultg. BRAZIL, lnd., April 7.—A large number of railway employes were addressed -by F. O. Hemes, of Danville, 111., Friday evening at 7 o'clock in Knights of Pythias hall. Mr. Hemes' mission here was to organize a lodge of the American
Railway union, and he met with excellent success, securing over 100 members at the outset.
Centenarian Killed by the Cars. WARSAW, lnd., April 7.—An easthound freight train on the Pennsylvania road struck Abram Felter in this city Friday, mangling bis body terribly. One of his arms was lodged in the telegraph wires and his head was carried on the pilot of the engine several miles before it was discovered, lie was more than 100 years old.
Swindler Fleeces a Farmer. LEBANON, lnd., April 7.—Simeon Mantell, a rich old farmer living S miles north of here, was robbed ol 12,100 by a smootli-tougued confidence man Friday morning. Mantell was selling a part of his farm for T7,900, and in payment he received a worthless draft for 110,000 and gave $2,100 in gold to even up the trade.

TERRK HAUTE, lnd., April 7.—The annual report of the Terre Haute & Indianapolis Railroad company will show that the gross earnings for the last fiscal year were $'.,307,400, an in-, crease of $24,097, and the net earnings $318,839, a decrease of $29,993.

New Paper Plant Started.
ML'NCIF., lnd., April 7.—The Consumers' Paper company put their new plant in full operation here Friday for the first time. It will employ 125 persons, running day and night, with an output of 125 tons of board per week.
