The readers of this paper wilt be pleased to learn that there is at least one dreaded disease that science has been able to cure in '. I its stages and tiiat, is catarrh. Hall's Cau. i-li Cure is the only positive cure now known to the medical fraternity. Catarrh being a constitutional disease, requires a constitutional treatment. Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken Internally, acting directly upon the biooil and mucous surfaces of the system, thereby destroying the foundation of the disease, and giving the patieut strength by building up the constitution and assisting nature in doing its work. The proprietors'have so much faith in us curative powers, that, they offer one hundred dollars for any case that it fails to cure Send for list of testimonials.

Mr. J. P. Mr. Blaize sent to the nearest drug store and got a bottle ot Chamberlain's Cough Remedy, of which he had so often heard, and took a number of large doses.

TflS 0ANNING FACTORY,"

Some SuggeBtians Tbat Seem Practicable and Worth Oonsictering. To the IiOitor tlie Jouriml.

The eslablislim* nt of canning fac t.ory here shouid meet with favor among tho peoiih- of both town and country for both would b,e benefited—the onn bringing in the raw material from the lield, and the other in furnishing the labor iu the factory. As 1 understand it the proposition ot the Hartford City lirtn is to build tho factory ut a giveL sum and take a certain part of the siock. Th might be a good move, but before it is accepted —if the project is worked up to that point—it would be well to cquire whether the factory could not tie limit and equipped for a good doal less than the sum asked by the com puny. The farmer was worked for all there was in it for come years by a company that went over the country budding creameries for flxed sums, and wo should be caroful if we should conclude to build a canning factory, that tbat expejience will not be repeated.

If the factory should be built I would be willing to devote ten acres to sugar corn, tomatoes aud beans and subscribe S10 an acre, to be paid out of the produce sent to the factory.

It, will probably require the produce of 1 ,f 00 ucres of land to supply the factory with its raw material and if each acre contributed $10 towards the building of' the factory, a very considerable part of tho cost of building and equipping the factory could be raised in that way.

Another method bv which a part of the cost ot the plant could be raided would be to receive timber from the farmers on subscription. I would bo willing to contribute something iu that way and.no doubt if an organized effort was made enoiu lumber might be ob tained in that way to put up the build ing.

To devoto J,500 acres lo intensive farming would require the woik ot at least one hundred more persons than would be required to cultivate them in the ordinary way.

It, seems to me i.he views given above are practicable, but however that may be give them and others may put, any value on them they see tit.
