The Finest Annual Ever Issued ssii Wabash College, The

ia out of the publish

er's hands and will be placed on sale Monday morning. The book issued by the Junior claes of Wabash College is undoubtedly the finest and moet artistio annual ever issued from Wabash College if hot from the State. The objectionable features ot former years in the shape of "roasts" and "grinds" are dropped and the howling vacuum they left is filled with something of interest to the public and ot benefit to the institution the book is supposed to represent. The book ia handsomely j,bonnd in oloth the color being an approach to mauve and old rose yet neither. The name and date, the latter in Roman numerals, are stamped upon the cover in white and gold, the effect upon the delicately dark background being quite artistic. The volume is appropriately dedicated to Dr. Burroughs and its make up is something ot which he need not be ashamed. The typographical work is perfect and set off as the volume is with handsome engravings, etchings and cuts the whole effeot is bound to inspire the admiration of all. The photo engravings are both numerous and well executed inoluding excellent likenesses of the board of editors, Dr. Burroughs, the fraternity groups and numerous designs. A copper engraving of the college buildings and grounds is one of the handsomest pictures in'the book. The class cute are exquisite steiel engravings worked by Dreka. The foot ball team is represented with a splendid likeness of all the members in uniform. AH the olubs and societies of the college, and they are legion, are represented by engravings. The written matter is of a high toned oharaoter and the mechanical part of the work is perfect each article being introduced by an appropriate design. There are two excellent articles on President Burroughs, who is formally introduced by the volume. These are contribued by Eastern scholars with whom Dr. Burroughs has been associated. Each cf the college departments is given a splendid review and the sphere of the institution may be easily conceived by reading these articles. The poetry in this year's annual is excellent and stands in striking contrast to the senseless drivel which burdened the pages of last year's

The work this year

of the de

signs are Rustin, Smith, and Will Fry, but many ot the engraving are by Dreka and other famous specialists. The board iB to be congratulated upon its successful volume.

:. Lynwood.

A fair sized audienoe saw Lynwood at Music Hall by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wayne and oompany. The play is thoroughly American in its theme and stirring in its lively scenes, which are located in the South and have to do with military life in the Southern States. It was elaborately costumed and mounted and gave great satisfaction. This company concludes its engagement at Music Hall to-night in the four act drama "The Unknown." The drawing for the bed room set will take place immediately after the show.

Kennedy's'.Case.

The mother ot Oharles A. Kennedy, accused of horse stealing, was in from New Market to-day and offered to go on the bond of her son for $1,000. The prosecutor will hardly accept the proffered bail, however, as Mrs. Kennedy's property is encumbered. The feeling in New Market against Kennedy is very bitter. The prosecutor will probably file information against him in the cir cuit oourt, and not await the action of the grand jury.
