The Queen L'axtmed llcr JCIICIK. Qaoen Isabella of Spain, pawned her jewels to raise money to fit out tho expidition that discovered the new world. Her sacrifice was not greater than is made by many women of America, who deny themselves many things in order to have money to buy Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery for their sick husbands or children. This "Discovery" is more important to them, than the one made in 1402. For all diseases of the Lungs, Liver, Throat or stomach, tho "Discovery" is soverign remedy. A trial convinces, its concinued uBe cures. It purifies the blood, invigorates the liver and strengthens and builds up the whole system. "Lost In NewIYork,
Leonard Grove's famous aijuatic drama "Lost in New York," comes to Music Hall next Saturday, matinee and night. Dec. 3, with the original cast and two car loads of elaborate scenerv. The river of renl wuter, with its yachts, row boats, ferries and practical steamboat is one of tho principal realistic features of the production. We clip the following from a recent issue of the 'J'oleihi lllwle\ "Lost in New York," Melodrama is a drawing card at the People's. As an evidence ot this it may lie mentioned that tho curtain went up to a packed house last night, after a most stirring melodrama had played a week's engage-
mout at the theatre. "Lost in New York" was put on for tho tirst time, and made a great hit. The scenery used in the production is the finest that haB ever been used in this house, ind wonderfully realistic. The most striking of the mechanical effects was tho introduction of a naphtha yacht and row boat. A vast body of water was run upon the stage, and a genuine yacht appeared steam up. The heroine ot the piece went Hying down the East River in a row boat, with the little steamer after her. The scene was very impressive and is an apt illustration of the advanced methods used in theatrical productions in this progressive age. The tank containing the water upon whic the bonts ply is Tiixlif) feet, four feet in depth, and contains 00,000 gallons of water. The Park Scene was handsome ly Ket.
Don't forgot the special family mati nee Saturday afternoon. Prices for the matinee, 25 and 00 cents. Tho advance sale opens tomorrow morning at the book store.
