Some money was found in Bisohof'a store yesterday which the owner can have by describing property. —The will of tho late Isaac N. Miller has been admitted to probate. He left his property to his wife and four sons. —Dr. Paul J. Barkis, a bright young physician, has moved here with his family from Udell. His home is on east College street. —"Tho Nabobs" will have a good house at Music Hull this evening and will give a lirst class performance. None Bhould miss it. —Mrs. D. W. Gerard, Mrs. J. D. Ruffner, Mrs. B. L. Ornbaun and Miss Mayme Gerard are attending a missionary convention at Haughville. —The congregation of the A. M. E. church last evening tendered Rev. Pettiford a surprise pound party which proved a most enjoyable affair.

At Music Hall To-night.

The play? It has no plot it needs hone. A plot in it would spoil the fun. It iB a farce-comedy, full 'of laughterprovoking "sits" and replete with genuine wit. While it has its share of nonsense it teeniB with clean, incisive humor and brilliant, sparkling repartee. But better still, it contains lots of dashing and delightful music, and many good take-offs on the latest songs.

The people? Well, they could not be better. John E. Henshaw is a whole team, homely as make-up can mnke him at lirst, and as handBotno as an Adonis in the final act, and Miss May Ten Broeck complete the duo of stars of the first magnitude that sparkle in the comedy.

Henshaw introduced his great song, "The Bridge," with splendid success, and "Is Maud In brought down the house. Carrie Ezeir made a hit as Waxy, and her Irish and wonoh specialties were roceived with whirlwinds of applause, and the other members of the company are all stars in their own specialties.—lioston (Mass.) llcruht.

They Will Mix.

F. W. Jacobs and T. E. Ballard will meet on the bloody sands of debate at tho court house next Tuesday evening. The will champion tho causes of tho Democratic and Prohibition parties respectively and a rare old seance iB anticipated. Mr. Jacobs will tell why under existing circumstances people should vote for Cleveland and Mr. Ballard will perform the same kindly office for Bidwell, who owns that big California winery where the juice flows free for all and every guest is given a dipper. Both gentlemen are rap:dly getting in fighting trim and a most sanguinary—figuratively Ban guinary—battle may be confidently looked forward to.

Oratorical Contest.

Thero was an oratorical conteBt at the A. M. E. church about which great interest centered. Several of the contestants backed out lato in the day and the only ones appearing were George Viveth who discussed "Alexander Hamilton" and Bessie Williams who enlightenod those present regarding "The Race Problem." The judges were Prof. Chaffis, Miss Sadie Freeman nnd Mrs. Pottiford and they gave the honors to Miss Williams. The other entertainment of the evening consisted of two bass solos of exquisite execution by Messrs. Wick Smith and Artie Lightfoot.
