IN HARD LIMES.
The
began last night with where they left off jnjure(j
open the back floor. The money drawer was opened but as Mr. Karle had spent all the previous day in talking about the burglary of Wednesday night he had completely forgotten to take monoy for the drinks he sold so the till was as empty as the dog house after the departure of the lamented "Towser." The burglars ivere evidontly surprised to find things thus and departed after drinking a few glasses of Rhine wine.
Some
Bay
the cheese threw them out of
the rear door and strained the back of 10110 burglar but the cheese denies the assertion nnd says it was locked up in the ice chest to prevent its breaking the bottles. When the burglars left
Karle's place they forced the rear door of Kramer's moat Bhop next door and stole S3.27 and six yards of bologna sausage which they sawed up into clubB to fight off the police. They then departed nnd walked down Mnin street singing "We Won't Go Home Until Morning." The next place attacked was the Maud S saloon and here the back door was also opened by kick or two and tho money drawer relieved of $2.75 of tho iinrd earned wnges of the humble anil painstaking bar keepar. There wore two lemons and a bottle of corn whiskoy on the shelves but these, strange to relate, were left intact, as indeed were the chairs, cuspidors and a box of hokeybos belonging to Mr. Bill Ridley. At the Axtel saloon they whistled in tho key hole three times and the door opened and an automatic wooden bar keeper poured out the drinks and held out its hand for the payInstead of putting the change there, however, they took about S2 from the drawer aud wero preparing to make an inventory of the stock when tho wooden bar keeper which was built to do work and at tho same time prevent fraud, blew a whistle for the police and the burglars had to decamp before they were half way through. The programme for to-nigln has not yet been made public.
Funeral ot J. H. Adams.
Short fuueral services wore conducted at 7 o'clock this morning ovor the earthly remains of James II. AdaniB by Drs. Tattle nnd Cunningham at the residence of Mrs. Ilauser, on south Washington street, where he died. The remarks were briof but impressivo and appropriate, and at their conclusion the faculty and students formed a line and escorted the body of their Inte friend nnd companion to tho Vaudalia station. The pallle:irers,Deiniiree, Hughiirt,McMurtie, Meteer, Vannuys and Acker, together with about twenty of his olnssmntes accompanied the remains to Cutler, where final services wore held this afternoonTne floral offerings wore very beautiful esjiecially the design presented by the Junior class.

The readers of this paper will be pleased to learn that there is on'e dreaded disease that science has been able to cure in all its stages and that is Catarrh. Hall's Catarrh Cure is the only positive cure now known to the medical fraternity. Catarrh being a constitutional disease, requires a constitutional treatmont. Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken internally, lusting directly on the blood and mucous surfaces of the system, thereby destroying the foundation ot the disease, and giving the patient strength by building up the constitution" and assisting nature in doing its work. The proprietors have so much faith in its curative power that they offer One Hundred Dollars for any case that it fails to cure. Send for list ofTeetimonials.
