The stairway, chandeliers and mantel's were garlanded and festooned with trailing vines an.l cut iiowers while in the dining room, where regular supper was served to the guests, the three.tables were handsomely set off by large baskets of cut tlowers aud silver candelebra. ribs so viciously there have been number of very sore Ragged lleubens hanging, about the outer door of the temple. Time has not appeased their wrath but has rather caused it to wax warmer and it has now leaked out that- they have in contemplation the organization of a new central eoiiimi.ttee. The Jockn.u. is not
Little Kugget.
"Little Nugget," with Herbert Cawthorn and Drucie Gilmorein the leading -.•harr.eterF, was presented at the 1'ark theatre yesterday afternoon and again last night, both performances being enjoyed by largt- audiences. The play is a bright, musical, farce comedy, full of fun. Herbert Cawthorn is clever comedian and, in the character of Bniney O'Hradv, a substitute school teacher, keeps the audience in a roar of laughter.

Beginning to-night a grand opening will occur until to-morrow night. The Music Hall orchestra will furnish music.

To make it appnrent to thousands, who think themselves ill that they are not affected with any disease, but that the system simply'needs cleansing, is to bring comfort home to their hearts, as a costive condition is easily curedby using Syrup of Figs. Mannfacturedby tho California Fig Syrup Co.
REUBENS AND SWALLOWTAILS.
Tlie Two Grand High Representatives Mix on the Court House Uorner. j.' The Ragged Reubens and Swallowills have mixed through their banner arriers. The exponents of the rival factions of Democracy Inst evening met on the sourt house corner and exchanged the compliments of the season in an excited but not at all dangerous manner. Billy Johnston, the Chairman of the Democratic County Central Committee, is the noblest Swallowtail of them all and his elegant plumage attracts little attention as bt marshals the "sassiety" hosts of the unterrilied and instructs them how to smite not only Republicans but the unwashed
Ragged Reubens as well. Ill striking contrast to Chairman Billy is Representative Mike Carroll.the grand mogul of the Ragged Reubens, whoso plumage is full of cockle burrs but upon whom the (lies never congregate as ho sits in the legislative halls of Hoosierdom sagely voting for gerrymanders. Now it has been fact patent to the community for some time that thero has been no love lost between the Reubens aud Swallo tails, or else that the course or true love has not been running smooth. We believe the latter condition of affairs to be true.
Mike and Billy love each other with the lovo of David and Jonathan. But their course hasn't been running at all smooth. It has been a succession of whirlpools and eddies lately, and last evening they came together. It was about the hour of six when peaceful citizens were hurrying home to waiting wives and crying babies, that Mike and Billy stood at the foot of the west end of the main entrance steps to the court house and eyed each other viciously, their hair stood up on their necks and their conversation was to pay the least uncomplimentary. Walter Hulett stood up trying to pacify the angered champions of Swallowtailism and Reubenism but in vain. Mr. Carroll felt aggrieved
He felt that Mr. Johnston had been working against him in his race for nomination for Senator and he mnde no bones of saying so. Mr. Johnston held up his hands in horror but Mr. Carroll could not be convinced. The fjnip modest merged into the lie direct by startling stages. Both gentlemen were shaking their nrm6 and fairly howling with rage when Mine called Billy a liar. That was more than Billy could endure and his good right arm shot out on a bee line for merry Michael's nose. But Hulett stood between like an angel of peace. Ho struck up Jehnston's arm so that Carroll was only grazed by the terriflc blow. But Mr.
Johnston was only
prevented from following up his attack bv Mr. Hulett, who fairly prayed with the greatest fervor and lung power, dancing about between the rival chain pions like an edneated dancing bear at a county fair. Others quickly arrived and the war was declared off. Both gentlemen are very sore and have little to say, wWle Mr. Hulett states that "it was only a little hot-headedness." Perhaps that was all.
A Good Appointment.
The many friends of Capt. B. F. Hegler will be glad to know that, though he was defeated in his effort to secure the ollice of Register of the land ollice nt Oklahoma City, he has received appointment to a much better oflice, financially. Judge Burford tendered him tho position of Clerk of tho 2nd Judicial District and Register in Chancery for Oklahoma, an office that has a nice plum attached to it in the shnpo of S3,500 salary. This office came without solicitation upon Frank's part and is, therefore, inore gratifying than any that might be sought. It will require his attendance at the sessions of court held in various parts of the district and tho only disagreeable feature will be absence from home a greater portion of the time. This will bo offset, however, by tho fact that the office will give Frank prestige in bis law business and bring to him a genera! acquaintance that will be valuable to him in the future. Frank will take possession of the office to-morrow (April 1st). The
I.i'il'/i'r,
in common
with his hundreds of other friends in Fountain, is glad to learn of Frank's good luck, and it predicts for him great official success and a record that will put him in tho front rank of Oklahoma's prominent citizens.—

There is more Catarrh in this section of tho country than all other diseases put together, and until the last few years was supposed to be incurable. For a great many years doctors pronounced it a local disease, and prescribed local remedies, nnd by constantly failing to cure with local treatment, pronounced incurable. Science lias proven catarrh to be a constitutional disease, and therefore requires a constitutional treatment. Hall's Catarrh (hire, manufactured by F. J. Cheney ,V Co., is the only constitutional cure on the market.
It is taken internally in doses from 10 drops to a teaspoonful. It acts directly on the blood and mucous surfaces of the system. They offer one hundred dollars for any case it fails to cure. Send for circulars and testimonials. Address.
