BUILDIHG_BOOM.
There Will Be a Revival in the Buildine Interests this Spring. Crawfordsville is blossoming out in every way ar.d rapidly "coming to the front Mary Aun." It ia already the most beautiful and cultured place in Indiana and has now begun to experience the benefits of the reaction which has struck the gas towns of the Slate, all of which have been boomed to death. We have the gas with none of its annoyances and will continue in the even tenor of our way, which, we wish it distinctly understood, is not second tenor by any manner of meune. The contractors are much pleased with the building prospect for the coming season and pronounce it more Mattering than it has been for several years. There will be a large number of handsome residences go up this spring in various parts of the city. Some are already plannec. and some are being planned.
Below is a partial list of those who will build. James Evans will erect a handsome residence on his south Washington street lot.
John Kern will also build a pretty house on south Washington street. Prof. R. A. King will erect a beautiful residence on west Wt'.bash avenue.
Heury Schenck is preparing to erect a commodious home on west Wabash avenue.
Newt Martin will erect a fine resiieuce on west Main street. Seymore Detchon will probably locate in this city and is looking for a suitable location to bnild.
William Hulett will erect fonr neat cottages in the Galey addition on east Jefferson street.
Max Tannenbaum will probably erect a fine home on his lot on the corner of Jefferson and Water streets.
John Fenton will build a pretty home in the Galey addition on east Jefferson street.
The daughters of Campbell Craig have purchased a lot in the Galey addition OJ east Wabash avenue and will build a neat residence.
Dr. Ream hns purchased a lot on Whitlock avenue and will build a modern cottage.
Newt Wray will completely remodel his property on east Main street. The Baptist church will erect a handsome house of worship on the site now occupied by their present building, which is entirely too small for their increasing membership. The members of the United Brethren church will also build and are hunting a location.
Robert Bruce will erect a pretty residence in the Brush Russell addition on east Market street.
A. H. Richner is building a neat cottage on oast Franklin street. W. M. Darter is preparing' to erect a residence on south Grant avenue.
M. E. Clodfelter will bnild a splendid residence on his lot on west Wabash avi-nue.
Harvey Tiusloy will enhirge and remodel his residence on west Wabash avenue.
George D. Hurley will erect a line new residence on the corner of Green and Jefferson streets.
D. W. Hartman will erect handsome dwelling on West Main street.

Gone Hence.
Jennie, the white faced sorrel mare which for so many years has done faithful service for Mrs. B. F. Crabbs, is no more. Jennie has left for horse heaven where she will doubtless play on one of the best horse fiddles in the camp throughout eternity, occasionally stopping perhaps to indulge in the luxury of a horse laugh. Jennie, may her tribe increase, was nt the time of her demise over '23 yenars old, an unusual age for horse to attain. She had been in the possession of Mrs. Crabbs for 20 years and the whole family was attached to the gentle and faithful old creature, which was never known to kick or bite. For the last year or so Jennie has been a prisoner and has lived a secluded life on Mrs. Crabbs' farm. By her estimable qualities and urbane deportment Aunt Jennie endeared herself to hearts of all the little colts and frivolous young fillies on the farm, whose mammas pointed out the venerable old lady to them, as a living example of rectitude. Jennie would spend whole days telling the young colts about the way she had hunted bears on that very spot in her youth, of the big freshes they used to have long ago. of the cold new year, and other things which the oldest inhabitants only are privileged to narrate.
