The Dunkard College.

The Dunkards of Montgomery county have gone to work in earnest to found a college at Ladoga. The committe appointed several months ago has decided to refit the building of the Ladoga Normal and have everything prepared to open up a college in it about the first of September. Aboard of trustees will be organized and when the district and national conferences of the Dunkards are held this summer the claims of tho prospective institution will be urged. It is proposed to make quite an institutii and to have it wholly under the control and patronage of the churches of the Dnnkard denomination. The Dunkards in this county are numerous, weaithy and energetic, and it is not to be doubtpd but that their plans will be brought to a successful culmination.

Badly Wrecked.

There was a lively time on the Big Four road at Waynetown last night. The crank pin of an engine engaged in hauling a bridgo gang broke and the connecting rod flying loose tore things all to pieces. The fireman was injured but the engineer fortunately escaped. The cab was demolished and a hole broken in the boiler allowing the steam to escape. Another engine was called out from the shups to drag the wrecked one it..

A Ealoon at Waynetown is respectfully submitted to the notice of the grand jury. There were two full fledged fights there Saturday night. Rabnkod.

The other day one of the society lenders of Crawfordsville, a lady well advanced in life, that is, not exactly young and frivolous, had quite an experience with a colored gentleman who is occasionally employed to do odd work about the house. On tho morning in question ho entered the parlor^where an exoiting gnmo of whist had been in progress the evening before to which faot the position of the chairs and table gave ample proof. The lady thoughtlessly inquired of the colored gentleman if he played enrds. "No ma'am." was tho grieved respouse, "I lead a very religions life."

Tho lady who i» quite a church worker herself felt greatly rebuked and in order to raighton matters out ventured to remark that she thought perhaps he had contracted the habit while in tho army. "No," came tho unwavering, relentless reply, "a parson eau't play cards without getting to gambling and as a church meml)or I can't do it. No good church member can play cards. Even if I did I wouldn't have time to play this morning."

At Music Hall To-night.

Barlow's Minstrels make their first appearance in Crawfordsville so-night. The press speak in flattering terms oi tho character of tho entertainment. Tho New Orleans City Item has the follow ing of the appearanco of the company in that city: "They say that laughing is contagious, and yet people cannot laugh unless there is something to make them. One continuous roar of laughter from 1,800 people for over two and a half hours is a guarantee that they were delighted. Such was the case at the St. Charles Theatro last night, and Barlow Brothers' Mammoth Minstrels were the magnet that caused all this hilarity. From the first part to the afterpiece it was a programme of continual novelties, each and everyone being greeted with the most vociferous applause, and the entire performance merited the approbation of tho large and enthusiastic audience. Praise is unnecessary for the performance, for it is immense.

The IVrt]/ by Which it Get* Into the Si/atem—Some X'ew Scientific Fact* of Great I'nluc and Intercut.

[Boston Advertiser]

No one who can go through the trying winter and springs of this climate without suffering from rheumatism or neuralgic pains of some kinds ,ia decidedly fortunate. What it is that causos these pains has been a greater mystery to old physicians and scientists than almost any other quection. Some have decided that they are the results of severe cold, others that imprudent exposure has caused them, and still others that they arise from blood poisoning.

In order to obtain, if possible, a correct theory of rheumatism and all tho aches and pains wlibh accompany it certain authorities in Washington havo taken steps to obtain the views of tho physicians of America upon this subject These views are of varied nature, but so overwhelming a proportion hold to ono belief as to leave but little doubt that it is tho correct one. This belief, briefly stated, is that uric acid in the blood causes rheumatism, and that it is only by removing this poisonous acid that rheumatism or neuralgia troubles, in all their terrible forms, cau be onred. ThiB being true, the important question arises: "How does the uric acid get into the blood, and how can it be removed."

Uric acid finds its way into the blood because the kidneys, are weakened and cannot throw it from the system. Restore the kidneys and you will rostoro the power that will force the uric acid from tho system and thus banish the rheumatic agonies which it causes.

This is reason it is science it is true. No ono whose kidneys are in a perfect condition was ever troubled with rheumatism, and no rheumatic sufferer, how ever slight the pain may be, has perfect kidneys. The conclusion of this truthis inevitable. Perfect kidneys mean freedom from rheumatism.

There never was, and probably never will be, but one remedy that can, in every case, drive uric acid from the blood. That remedy is Warner's Safe Cure. It cures rheumatism by driving the deadly uric acid from the blood. It banishes pain by removing the cause. It acts directly upon the kidneys. Within an hour from the time it is taken, its influence will be felt. It sustains the organs that sustain life, the forces that make the blood. For ladies during the severe ordeals through taey are called to pass, it is invaluable. For the nervous troubles of youth nnd the debility that proceeds old age, it has no rival. There are thousands of men and women too, who are in perfect health to-day wholly by reason of its great power, and it is the most populnr remedy the world has over known.
