COLLEGE NOTES.
Now the above is all right and the only question is, who, oh! who are the six young bucks who have the monumental nerve to stand up and say "we are the six choice spirits of the class?1' The horse pond's waters yawn for them

Oolly's Calamity.
Frank Colly is the assistant superintendent of the Natural Gas Company and arrived hero to-day from Sheridan with a face which resembled a war map of Chili. Both eves are artistically blacked while numerous other decorations give his countenance a savrge and severe appearance. It all came about after this manner: The other day he was driving along in his buggy near Sheridan, humming his favorite Baptist hymn when he saw 'approaching in the distance two wild barnyard clowns running their horses on a Tain O'Shanter race for life. C'olly drove to one side to give them room but one of the horses, a vicious mnstang, gave a wild leap when it came up with him and landed squarely in the buggy, breaking it down and causing Colly's horse to run oiT with the whole wooly load, tho mustang pawing and snorting like a demon. Colly was under its feet and stood there until the wreck came to pieces and left him on the roadside half dead. To cap the climax the wild rider demanded $10 damages because the mustang had its leg skinned.
ExciUna: Accident.
This afternoon just as a large crowd had assembled at the Monou station at train time, a wagon containing C. F. Count, the natural gas foreman, and Elmer Tonev turned at Green street toward the 'busses. Tho horse attached to it suddenly began kicking wildly, and at the first break sent Toney sprawling in the street. Count staid in until the house with a lunge broke the singletree, throwing him high in the air. lie fell upon his neck and shoulders, while the horse ran down the railroad track until stopped. Count lay senseless for some time, ut"! when he regained consciousness was: deathly sick. He is terriblyshaken up and his bjck injured, but nothing ve. serious.
Uillsrd Kerr on Trial.
Millard F. Kerr is on trial in the circuit court to-day for forging his divorced wifes' name to check. Whittington .V VanCleave and Wright i£• Sellars represent the defense and Prosecutor MotTett the State. There is a pretty cleaPcase against Mr. Kerr and he will probably be convicted. The circumstances surrounding the case are such however.that an acquittal would meet with very general approbation. Kerr did not know he was doing wrong and from the standpoint of equity it is greatly tobedoubted whether he did do wrong. He certainly committed forgery, howevcr.
