Greatly Delays the Work,. The miserable weather lately lias greatly delayed the work on the natural gas trenches and has been the cause of no small expenbe. If there is much more of it the company will fail to get the gas in by December 10 as wns fully exjiected. It is thought, however, that but little fear need bo entertained in this head.
The ^Republican Olub.
Owing to the inclemency of the weather the meeting of the Republican Club was not very well attended last evoning. The speeches were omitted mid the time occupied with conversations on current political topics. Hereafter the meetings of the club will be held on Monday evening and the next, regular meeting will then come Jwo eeks from Monday evening.
The Boy Tramp Last Night. Hie Boy Tramp, his ma, and several itlier interesting characters pranced about on tho boards at Music Hall last night to tho edification of a very fair audience. The Roy Tramp lias been here before but this was a "new one" iind presented accordingly several new features. There aro tramps and tramps but the greatest of these is tho Boy Tramp. There are only a few like him loft.

I After Divorces. Two brand new divorce suits have I been filed in the circuit court. Mrs.
Laura Shelly under the kindly escort of Judge Britton comes up before Judge Harney and usks that tho cords which bind her to Eli Shelly be clipped. Eli, as soon as they were married, got up and wandered away to other towns and cities. After waiting a reasonable time for his return Laura has concluded that she won't wait any longer, and accordI ingly prays for a divorce.
James W. Pylcs lives out in Madison township and has a wife named Martha D. Pyles. Sh is a wife in name only for two good years ago Martha slipped away one moonlight night and went to the maiden city of Chicago, whero she is now supposed to lie. James don't tako much stock in her and as she skipped out without any provocation ho would just as lief as not that Johnston A- Johnston secure a divorce for him. Several other good cases aro satd to be on the string and will be filed in a few days. This is really edifying.
Alf-Woodruff Not In It.
Judge Burford and Dr. Holloman returned yesterday from their liuntingoxpedition in the Cheyenne and Arapahoe county. They roport killing sixty-live turkeys, two deer, four prairie chickens, 300 quails, two coons, two opossums, four hawks, two prairie dogs and an owl. Judge Burford says that Dr. Holloman boats him in self control. Whilo the doctor was lying in wait for a deer one day several fine turkey gobblers came within fifteen or twenty stops of him, in plain view, but ho was after deer then, turkeys being too small to induco a shot. The Judge thiuks turkoys wouldn't be safe fooling around him, even if he was after deer. The party went west thirty-five miles from the fort, nd as long as they kept on the NorthCanadian they say they never saw finer land, but over on the South Canadian it is sandy, hilly, and cut up with canyons. Tho grass has all been burned as far as they went.—Okluhomu Timrs-JoHrnul.
A Needed Improvement.
There should be a system Of ventilation introduced in the court house, that would drive out all tho bad air and keep the several rooms in a healthy condition. There is nothing of the kind now, and it would bo absolutely impossible for a person to live a day if elevated ton feet in any of the rooms. There should be a largo ventilator in the roof over tho court room, as well as in tho other rooms, and there is great room for improvement iu this direction all over the building,
Troutinan's Station Kemoveil. A largo gang of Big'(Foursection men began removing Troutinan's statin west of tho city on the Big Four road this morning. The bnllding and switch will both bo carried three quarters of a mile east and set up on the Yountsville crossing, famous as tho scene of the Alamo hack disaster. The station's name may then be changed to Darter's station as J. J. Darter is to erect a large grain elevator there in the near future.
