Mt'Ni.'lK, Inil.. Nov. IS.—At an early hour Monday morning miscreants made an unsuccessful attempt to wreck one of the trains on the Mtincie street railway. Bowlders were wedged between the guard and track rail on a sharp curve on East Main street, and the steam motor and car were derailed: but the unusually low rate of speed saved the twenty or more'passengers. The car was badly smashed.

Saturday lockjaw developed, the brow becoming knit, the eyes wide open, fixed and (•taring, the nostrils distended and tlie angles of the mouth drawn back, exposing to view the clenched teeth. She died Monday afternoon, after enduring intense agony for forty-eight hours.
