'J lie name of the league is derived from that of the village in which the NVesleys passed their youth and the homo practices there observed were fitting examples, for imitation by all members of the league. Dr. (iobin stated that there were other ideas besides the religious idea in the organization. Paramount among these were those of thrift, health and good cheer, and it beanie every member to be possessed of these. About Hi I of our K. of P., boys went to Kussellville last night to do work in the degrees of the Orient.

Two young men and their girls from Crawfordsville were out at the Vino Hills Sunday and on the road home thought tliev would cut a dash and in turning a corner suddenly when near Joseph Deer's they smashed ono of their carriage wheels. They had to borrow a wheel olT of a cart and belonging to a neighboring farmer beforo they could proceed home. Boys, take it a little slower next. time.

Elizabeth Fulwider died May 12th She was born November 30th. 1K20, be ing about 71 years old. On Feb 14. 1840. she was married to Adam Gollnday in Augusta County. Va. In 1855 she moved to Montgomery county. Indiana. She was tho mother of nine children, four of whom and her husband survive. She was a member of the United Brethren church, nnd of tho Lutliorn church later.
