Jeweler,
Some merchants get the best they can some "get the meanest they can.
Your dealer in lamp-chim-neys-what does he get for you? There are common glass and tough glass, tough against heat. There are foggy and clear. There are rough and fine. There are carefully made and hap-hazard.
You can't be an expert in chimneys but this you can do. Insist on Macbeth's "pearl top" or "pearl glass" whichever shapo you require. They are right in all those ways and they do not break from heat, not one in a hundred.

Music Hall Last Night.
A fair audience assembled at Music Hall last night to -witness the porforin nee of "Uncle Hiram. To the surprise or most of those present the show was really a good one and all the parts were well taken. So many moss backs and barn stunners have gulled the people herewith tho performance like "Si I'lunkard. ami f'Alvin Joslyn" that the Athenians go very slow on a show whose name savors ef things rustic.

Constable John Bvas made another of his sensational arrests this morning. Charles T. He is accused of drawing a deadly woajKin to take the life of Zachariah Bales midwife, of Warren county, and was taken to I/mdeii at once to be tried before Squire Jones. To say say that lie was angry does not express it. To say that old man Bales was happy but faintly gives an expression of his

Promising Young Bandits.
The inhabitants of tho south-western portion of the city complain bitterly of a gang of tough, bad boys who in the evenings alter school and on Sundays pass up and down the Big Four railroad track. They range in age from 11 to 17 years, and belong to good families in the city. Judging from their loud profanity. however, and reckless regard for li.w and decency, one would judge that they had boon roared in tho slums or LondonAll of them cany largo revolvers and are evidently preparing for life on the plains. They are very reckless in their shooting, and one little girl who came in range of their weapons narrowly escaped with her life. The matter will be placed in the hands of the police.
