Ilie Trip of the Jun'- iiters Oaly Strengthen Their Foiiner Opinion. The juuketers kept tLe ronult of tlu-ir iuvestigatioii of the electric light question pretty quiot yosterd-ty, but to-dny wore communicative. They viHitcd uumerous places where they owned their own plant itud fcuu'l only siitisfnotion every where. Tho p.itrons ure all loud iu their praises of the syi-tems being owned by tho cities and declared the savings to be great aa well us the servioe being bettor. At Batavia, 111., tho plant is owned by the city and has proved to be success beyond all expectation. Tho several different sys tems were oarefully examined by ti-.o committee, ami also the different machines and engines. "The more I see, the more radical I becomo," said Mr. Scott. "Every town that owns its plant is thoroughly satistied. if they will cite a town that owns a plant to its detriment I might think differently, but I don't behevo they eau."
On next Monday' evening the committee will submit a report whioh will reoommend the purchase of a system b" the city. The questiou of the contract with tho Water and Light Company will be settled that ovoning, and unless there is a change between now and then, the Compnny's proposition will bo rejected.
The junketers have no system to reeommeud, and all companies can enter competition for putting 111 tho plant. There is no telling what may happen between to-day aud Monday night, but tho state of ali'iirs at present points decidedly to the purchase of a plant by the city and the rejoctment of tho proposition made by Manager Shoetz for tho Cruwfurdhville Water and Light Company.
