Funeral of Dan Yount
The funeral of Dan Yount which ooourrod to-day at Yountsville was attended by a largo ooueour.se of people,many being presont from a dist'inoe. The Methodist oliurch whore tho services were hold was tilled to its utmost capacity and large numbers wore unable to gain admittance. Tho remains were brought into tho ehuroh by pall bearers selected fiom the young mon in his employ. Boautirul floral tributes rested upon tho casket. Tho services wore opened by an appropriate hymn sung by tho Mothodist church choir from this city. Tho first Psalm was road by Rev. (i. W, Swither aud prayer was ofl'ered by Rev. H. M. Middlctou. Tho pastor of tho church, Rev. J, W. Loder, read a sketoli of the life of the deceased from Tin: JOUKNAI. of yesterday. Rev. L. C. Buckles, of Michigan City, then pronounced an el oquent and touching eulogy on the life und character of tho deceased, dwelling at length oa liis many virtues, particularly liis unostentatious beuovolenco aud beautiful Christian character. Ror. J. W. Greono, Rev. E. R. Johnson and Gen. M. D. Mausou followed with brief but tender tributes to the good man's memory. The body was taken to Oak
