TROUBLE IN A PROSPEROUS 00.
I Tliy Indiana Wire Fence Company Sues I One of its Stockholders. About a wenk ago a suit was 11 led iu the circuit court entitled, The Indiana
Wire Fence Co, vs. S. H. .egg. It is a suit to render null auil ,nul, a contract eute.-od into betweeu the two parties at the organization of the company. 31:-. Gregg then turned over to tho ccaipain some patents ou barbed wire aud iron posts, iu cousi.leration for which he was to receive half tho profits after the I cooiany paid a 10 per cent, dividend.
It was found impracticable to mauulacture under these patents because they w..-re infringements possibly, aud they were used to help pay for licoase from the Washburn Moeu company. Time passed on and the Indiana Wire Fence I Company became a paying institution.
The ten per cent, dividend was declared several times aud Mr. Gregg do mauded his half of tho profits over and above the ten per cent. Tho company refused ts pay ou the grouud that it had never used tho patents and therefore had received uo consideration. To settle tho matter it was decided to go into the courts where it will oomo up for Judge Suyder's consideration on Monday.
