The Court Martial.
Major .T. H. Oliver and six other officers came over from Indianapolis yesterday as a court martini to try Nathan Fruzier, of Company D. A stenographer accompanied them and took tho evidence down. The trial began at 7 o'olook and lasted after .ten, The two charges against Frazior were drunkenness and disobeying orders, during tho Stato encampment last July. There were twelve witnesses examined, but the verdict will not be mado for a week or soyet.

The Consolidated Tank Line Asks the Gonncil'a Permission to Erect Buildings to Uost $5,000—Miscellaneous Businesa.
The Council met last evening with ah present but Carr. The Board of Public Improvement reported that the oity had recoived those parts of the Yountsvillo and Shannondale roads which lie inside the city together with $300 on condition that they be la cod in good repair. The Board also ordered that uiberty street needed drainage and the Street Commissioner was ordered to go to work on it as soon as possible. The Board will oonsult with Joseph Milligan in regard to extending Liberty street west to the oity limits.
Judge Thomas wanted to have the alley in the rear of his block improved but the Judiciary Committee reported that the Barrett law providing that a petition from two-thirds of the property holders be presented applied to the case, therefore tho alley will not be improved.
The telephone pole in the rear of Musio Hall was ordered out down. A petition wa6 presented by the Consolidated Tank Line, of Cincinnati, through W. T. Brush, its attorney, W. T. Brush, asking permission to erect buildings as follows: One briok warehouse, 30 00, with one story, a basement and an office, 16x10 one boiler house, 12x20 one oil tank, 10 32 two oil tanks 10Jxl6 one stable lGx 25 one wagon shed 8x10. The total cost of the buildings is estimated at 85,000. The Company did not pur-1 chase the Milligan property on aocouut of defeotive title but bought land of Col. I. O. Elston, just west of tho Indinuii Wire Fence Co.
Two Houses Pulled.
Tho police pulled two houses of ill fame last night. At nine o'olook they raided the place of Mary Rale, near the Junction and mado one arrest. At midnight Mary Riohie's establishment on north Walnut street and another arrest was the result. Tho latter reoently moved from Waveland.

W. Switzer, of Redfiold, S. D., who lias been a guest of his brother since Saturday left this afternoon for Otterboin and will prooeed to his Lome nest week, here on a prolonged visit.
